My Numark AXIS 9's (two) will not open at all

For all kind of brands cd or dvd players There is in every cd or dvd tray in the front bottom or under the tray so crazy you can not think an microswitch necessary that will be by mechanic close of the tray detect if the tray is closed and give a timed signal (close or open) to focus laser for reading of table of contents if the belt is bad it can take to long by a slipping tray drivebelt for the detection , or the microswitch or brass plate contacts are have a little corrosion on it or even it can be broken by a missing timing.

Output IC might be damaged. Seek tech support.

Some laser assemblies will have trouble reading discs from a computer. TOC errors usually.

1. Check for internal fuse.
2. Check the power transformer.
3. Check the rest of the power supply.

if you are not a tech.have one look at your set.change your lens.or the wire ribon that is attached to the body of the lens that leads to the pc board.if that does not work your micro chip is damage replace the pc board.they cannot be repaired as they are duble solder unless you have equipment to do repair on them.good luck.

either your set does not recognize the cd or your lens need to be replaced the age of your set has lot to play if it is old satrt shopping for a new set.anyhow have a tech look at your set.a look on the wire ribonthat leads from the body of the lens the pc board will not hurt probably it is damage.good luck.

Hi, I’m from Yucatan, Mexico. I’ve always used Numark cd players, I have two Axis8 and two Axis9, and one day I had the same problem with an Axis9. I know a little bit about electronic so I opened the machine and began check it, I took the decision to change and electronic part, I took it from the another Axis9 which was working perfectly, this part is the memory, buffer, effects and it controls all the front panel, jog, play, pitch, etc. I discovered the problem, this electronic circuit part was wrong, I thought that it was impossible to repair so I began to investigate. I visited Numark web site, they sell any electronic part you need, I bought a new one from Numark Company for 200 dollars, and this is the most expensive. They sell parts for Dual Players, Axis, CDX, Mixers, etc. If I not wrong you need this part, now it costs 174 dollars: TWPC01C04603 PCB, Effects/Buffer - Axis 9 (Red) | I got it and my Axis9 works like new again!!!
