SOURCE: I have a seiko flight watch, unknown of the model, second hand doesn't reset

I guess the blue faced SEIKO is a Flightmaster (Model: 7T92- OCFO)and it is a great watch. This is a common problem with most chronographs and this happens due to misalignment with usage.

All you need to do is pull out the locking crown all the way out (2nd Step) as if setting time. and then press and hold the top / left button and at first the milli seconds hand resets. after which you have to press the borrom / right button to move the seconds hand in to place. and then reset the time and lock the crown. You can repeat this for Milli Seconds, Seconds, Minutes & hours hands.
Hope this helps,
Krishna Chaitanya GT.

Seiko NE78a mechanical automatic chronograph - On the Min. subdial, the hand resets to 59 instead of 00. How can it be calibrated to reset to 00?

By a watch repairman. The nut that tightens the hand to the shaft has loosened enough to allow the hand to slip slightly.

I have a Seiko kinetic watch and it has behaved perfectly for over two years and therefore I think that yours is faulty.

I suggest you send it to Seiko to have it repaired or replaced under warranty.

Seiko SNA413P1 second hand not on 0 exactly

It is probably the way the second hand was placed onto the watch when the watch was put together. The hand will only move in a set interval so if it's "off" you cannot fix it unless you have someone take the watch apart. I would not worry about it being a fake because honestly Sekio watches are not expensive enough to fake. Here's a good rule of thumb, if the watch cost under $1000 then it is probably not going to be something that people will make a counterfeit model of. Finding a "fake" Seiko, Citize, Bulova, or any mid-level watch is not likely.

Seiko chronograph alarm

Solution #3 (Posted by Guest on 5 Mar 08) is spot on. Quick and easy method to reset the chrono hands (it was not in my Seiko manual).
Interestingly, this can also be used to set the chrono ahead (or behind--with a little math) for offset timing measurements.
