Crashed hard drive on emachines T5026

My hard drive has crashed and I do not have recovery disks. Any suggestions on how I can recover without the disks? My computer will restart and ask which mode I want to restart in, and no matter what I choose it only goes to the emachines logo screen, and then freezes up there. But, because it does go to that point, I don't believe the damage is irreversible. I just need to know where to go from there. HELP please!!!

To BEAMSABRE, when I choose Safe Mode, it goes to a black screen with white letters 'Safe Mode' in the 4 corners and freezes there. If I choose the option to start Windows normally or to go to last known good configuration, it goes to the eMachines logo screen and freezes there. The only option I have after that on any of these is a hard shut down. I've tried a variety of key combinations to get it moving again and nothing else works when it freezes at that point. I did get a copy of an XP reinstallation disk, and it would not start it. It may not be the hard drive. I could fix it, if I could figure out what it was that needed to be fixed.

When you choose Safe Mode, what happens next? Restart? Hard freeze? Blue screen? A bit more info is needed. Write down any error messages that appears, no matter how unimportant and post them.

Pardon me, but NO! The statement, "two things are responsible for booting up computer RAM and Hard Drive" is simply not true.

A hard drive crash COULD cause the symptoms you describe, but that is more indicative of a virus infection. When you say the XP reinstallation disk would not start it exactly how did you use that disk? Attempt to use the repair console? Boot directly from the disk? Attempt reinstallation of the whole operating system? If you attempted reinstallation, do you also have the specific drivers for all of the components E-Machines used when they built your computer (you will need at least some of them.)

Post again with some more details about how you used the reinstallation disk.

Toshiba tablet R15-S829 has only c drive .can i do partition in this hard drive. is it accptable for this laptop or not.please help

I think the problem is only that your system crashed. So you can try some data recovery software to recover the wanted data from system partition and then reinstall OS,
I suggest you can use a free data backup software to create a recover disc once you enconter such a problem you can recover your data and system easily.

Emachine computer. hard drive crashed

If the hard drive on your computer crashed what will be your next step here is to reinstall back to your computer including the operating system, but you can also try doing a system recovery if you have a recovery disc and run it and there you will see a option to do a recovery on your system. But if you also have a recovery disc for it you can also use that in recovering the computer.

How to extact the data off the Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB HD

if its your motherboard that crashed then ther is no problem with your hard disk. connect your hard disk to any other computer and you can access all the files in it.
if it is your harddsik that crashed then try recovery utilities like western digital data storege manger or any other disk recovery tool available for free. if still it fails then you can recover your data if you hand over your hard disk to the nearest service centre. but recover from a hard disk only if its very valuable. thay will charge you per MB of data recovered
