I have a GE WBVH6240HWW Front load washer. I

I have a GE WBVH6240HWW Front load washer. I tried to start a regular load. The washer started up, water went in and it started to wash for about 4 minutes, then it just sat, wouldn't switch cycles, drain, just sits, but the time left on the load keeps on going. When the time is done, it signals the load is finished and shuts off. Water is still in the drum, but door unlocks as if it washed the load and went through all the cycles. Any ideas?

As others have said - remove the door on the lower front. There is a plastic guard on hinges that you can flip to the downward position giving access to the filter screen and acting as a water deflector for when you open the clogged screen and it drains onto the floor....Clean he screen, replace everything, and power it on. After self-checks it will unlock the door.

Mildew smell

All front loaders have to be run thru a clean cycle with no clothes or soap atleast Twice a month. You can use bleach or buy one of the special cleaners they have for washers.

I have a ge front load washer model wbvh6240hww. I have replaced the control board the water valve and when the washer is turned on it still does not get water. The screens are clean the water is turned...

Does the door lock when you attempt to start the washer?
If not, you might check the door sensor. The washer may not realize the door is closed.

There is a musty oder coming from inside washing machine.

Dump in a gallon of white vinegar, fill with water, highest setting, after it goes through that setting, turn it off and let it set in the washer for about 30 minutes (use hot water).

Then put it on another wash cycle and then go to the rinse and spin. This should remove the order, and you should leave the door open when not in use.

Good Luck
