LG DLE2532W NO HEAT

Hi there,
I have a LG DLE2532W dryer that works but does not heat up.The vent is clear and it blows very strong, just cold air.I've tried resetting the circuit breaker in the house and no change. What could it be? I've heard that it could be a thermal fuse or possible heating element.Where are these located and what do you have to take apart? Is there a possible "reset" switch? Please let me know.Thanks.

Have same dryer and same problem, I read somewhere it could be a $10 part to fix and not the heating element. I can't seem to be able to get the back panel off the dryer even though I have removed all the screws. Is there something I'm missing and where can I go to find a service manual for this unit?

Give up and get professional service. Talked to customer service LG in regards to product DLE2532W. She stated there is no reset button (which I find weird after reading the reviews) I looked for reset button after reading all the reviews and belief there is none for my model. If there is great HELP. If not i think its time to get service.

Dryer runs but does not heat. This is a gas dryer. About two years ago, same thing happened. Called a repairman. He removed the top and the front door panel. He pushed or flicked a switch and the dryer worked great until now - two years later. He told me to do the same as he did if it happened again but did not physically show me the button that he pushed. I know there is something.....help!

Sounds like the heater element is bad that is the main cause for them not to heat up . Their should be a cover on the back that comes off and you can get to the heater element after removing it .

Why isn't my dryer drying anymore?

Clear the vent hose to the outdoors- clean the lint trap - if all vents are clear, your temp safety switch is cutting off heat (for a reason) If dryer is 5 yrs orolder - replace with higher rated energy saver - it will pay off.

check the dryer vent to make sure it is clear. is there any heat, if not the thermostat or heating coil burned out.

Dryer does not heat model td-v75120E

Hi, open the back panel. You will find a black cutout switch with a red button on it. Press the red button to reset the heating mechanism. Close the back panel and test the machine.

Dryer heats for 10 minutes and turns off

Turn the dryer on, go out to the where the vent exits the house. Feel the air coming out, and it should blow very strong, and for the total diameter of the discharge. If it doesn't, the vent pipe is plugged, or the connection hose from wall to dryer is crimped/collapsed when pushed back to the wall.

Also make sure lint filter is clean, and the grill inside the dryer where hot air enters is clear.

Reply back your findings and I can help you more.

LG DRYER DLE2532W DISASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

DLE2532W is an electric heat model. (a gas model would be a DLG......) To get a rear control LG dryer apart: Open door and remove two phillips head screws at the 5 and 7 o'clock positions. Use a putty knife to release the clips holding the top panel to the dryer front by pushing the clips in at the seam of the dryer top and front, a couple inches in from each side. Swing top back. Remove two phillips head screws at the top, allowing front panel to pull forward. Unplug drum light and door switch and drum sensor plugs, allowing front panel to be completely removed and set aside. Now, look at the burner area at the lower right. Behind the gas valve you will find a small (about dime sized) high limit thermostat on the left side of the burner cone. It has two wires attached and has a small pin in the center of it. (Only on gas models) Push the pin in.
Now, if that get's you ignition again, CORRECT VENTING ! Get rid of flexible vent material. (use only rigid aluminum vent pipe and elbows) Clean out vent pipes and outside vent hood. Outside vent hood should be the kind with a four inch flap for the opening, not a two inch flap. Tripping of the high limit thermo is almost always caused by inadequate air flow.

No heat here either

It appears so. Plugged dryer vent should not cause a problem with control board. Good service tech should be able to use a cordless drill powered brush to clean entire length of vent, providing the vent is not the flex plastic ****. A simple clamp on amp meter test would confirm the dryer element (electric model) to be working. I'd advise you to turn your dryer on and see if you have a strong flow of air out of the outside dryer vent cap. (outside the house, where the bird nest was) Sounds like you could possibly use a new dryer vent cap, with a bird screen cover and a large 4 inch flap. (not the low profile 2 inch flap)
