How does the minn kota 65 all terrain run on 24 volt system? or is it suppose to run on the 12 volt system only ?
My minn kota want run, battery charged any suggestions. thanks
You should only run the motor with a 24v battery or two 12v batters 'jumped' out. To jump the two batteries, connect the positive on one batter to the negative on the other battery and hook the trolling motor battery cables up to positive and negative terminals that are NOT jumped out as you would normally. Don't run this with 12v as you will have serious problems if you do. They do not make a 65lb thrust in 12v - too much pound thrust to run off of 12v.
what you refer to as jumped out. is in fact putting the batteries in series to get 24 volts as apposed to putting two 12 volt batteries in paralell which will give you only 12 volts but twice the capacity

Hi, The 65 has a couple of different versions, The V2 is a 24Volt. But some of the older ones are 12 volt. See if you have more info on exactly which model you have.
