My S9 headset was working fine (voice calls in one ear, and music in two ears) with my smartphone (HTC TnTY II). Now, it plays voice calls and music in one ear (of course not at the same time). I've tested the S9 headset with my laptop, and music plays in two ears. Is there a sound setting that I could have changed on my smartphone? I don't remember doing it, but maybe you can suggest something to force music playing in the two ears? Music plays in two ears when I use traditional earphones (with a chord) with my smartphone. Thanks.
I had the same problem with a Samsung phone. There are two ways of fixing this; First, you can remove the S9 profile from your phone's bluetooth list, and then add it again, going through pairing and entering 0000 on your phone when asked for the code.
Alternatively, you might try pressing the "play" button on the right earpiece on the Motorola S9. This is supposed to kick it into the A2DP stereo mode for music listening.
Good luck.
And get a copy of the manual from the Motorola web site at http://direct.motorola.com/ens/s9/Headset_Home.asp I found this very handy for checking what the little flashing lights mean. When you get stereo reception, the little LED in the middle of the headset flashes green, not the usual blue and red and purple for voice calls.
In case you didn't know, as a phone headset, with the microphone activated, you only get sound in your left ear, and the light flashes blue. For music, you get both ears, and it flashes green. So if it ain't green, you are in mono mode.
I', sorry but I have a green light, but only still only getting sound on one ear (in my case is the left) Still the commands from both ears work fine, the music is the only thing that only works on the left side. I followed the steps above to try to fix it, but it didn't work. Any advise would be welcomed. Thanks

I have an S9 and cant stereo link up to my HTC Wing. I get the music in 1 earpiece only (The left which is the same one that is used for phone calls),
Problem is as noted, S9 plays music in left ear only, though I think I distinctly remember stero when it was first paired with my AT&T Tilt. Attempted the fixes of repairing and hitting play button as recommended, no success.
music only plays out of left side even though green light is flashing
