The monitor won't turn on when plugged in. The right speaker (when facing the screen) starts clicking and won't stop until 6-8 seconds after it's turned off. After it stops clicking the power light blinks green and the monitor fully shuts off. If I turn it back on within a second or two of the green blink it will blink green, flash a "No Input" screen, light blinks red, screen goes black, and the right speaker starts clicking again. I know its not the graphics card because it happens when the monitor is plugged in anywhere. Anyone know what the problem might be?
If it EVER works, then the problem is not a failed part, but a weak part. The most likely component type to give you such problems are capacitors. But very few repair techs know how to find such problems, and even fewer have the equipment needed to find the bad one(s) in-circuit. The failure mode is high ESR (ESR means Equivalent Series Resistance). The lower the ESR, the better. Capacitors with high ESR cannot stabilize circuits which demand high pulse currents, such as in switch mode power supplies.
click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check
the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer hope this helps
