Won't turn off, and won't respond to remote or side panel.

I bought a new Samsung LCD 40inch TV and when I plug it in, it turns on automatically, won't respond to remote, or to the side panel...so it won't turn off, change channels, or increase/decrease volume. What might the problem be?

I think that better to check the cables of S/W module.
Please check the s/w board placed in or chipped by bracket.

If nothing wrong with external appearance, then need to replace the IR module or Main Board.

Samsung LN26A450 screen won't work

Your model Samsung falls under a class actions settlement. These units have defective power supply boards and Samsung has agreed to pay for the repair / replacement of the boards at no cost to the user even if the unit is out of standard warranty. This sounds like the issue with your TV. Here is a link with additional information about the settlement and how to get the warranty work completed.

LCD LE26R7 won't turn on after switching off

This is almost certainly a bad main board and it will almost certainly need to be replaced, not serviced.

I'd google for "LE26R7 main board" - check on eBay as well - but frankly if all you have to do is re-plug the TV in order to watch it I'd probably recommend sticking with that.

I predict there won't be a quick fix to this problem other than replacing the main board.

hi if you have at least a basic knowledge in repairing in any electronics as my recommendations, since the problem is won't power on.first you need to open the back cover with the use of philip screw driver then start to check the power supply look for the blown fuse replaced with the same amper rated at the part. then check for any burnt or bulged capacitors. also considered the inverter ballast board if their is no burnt connectors or parts. good luck hope it will help you.

Samsung 40" Full HD LCD

Resetting the TV
If the buttons on the remote AND the buttons on the TV case do not work (channels do not change and you cannot open or navigate the menu), the TV has stopped responding. Reset the TV as follows:

NOTE:
Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time.

1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet.
2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...)
3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds.
4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV.
5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again.
6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices.
7. Turn on the TV.
