H2 Blinking on the panel

I have a Xerox Workcentre 16fx that has been in storage for a while. I pulled it out and plugged it in. It powers up, but I have an H2 error flashing on the screen. Any ideas what that means?

Thanks!

I have a xerox workcentre PE120i that displays "scanner locked".how do i unlock it

There is a lock switch below the control panel. When the all-in-one is first shipped, there is a label that wraps over the switch and up to the control panel. When the label is gently pulled out, it moves the switch forward into the unlocked position.

The switch is below the area to the right of the frequently-dialed numbers short-cut buttons. To see a picture of the approximate location of the scanner lock, see page 2.3 of the MFP User Guide (this is page 29 of the PDF). The manual is available on the WorkCentre PE120/120i support page in the Documentation section: http://www.support.xerox.com/support/workcentre-pe120-pe120i/documentation/enus.html?operatingSystem=win10x64&fileLanguage=en . The direct link to the manual is currently http://www.support.xerox.com/support/workcentre-pe120-pe120i/file-redirect/enus.html?operatingSystem=win10x64&fileLanguage=en&contentId=53827 .

I hope this helps. If the scanner lock is in the unlocked position and you still get the error, then there is probably an internal problem. Whether this is a problem with the hardware or a sensor is unclear. If your unit is under warranty or covered by a service plan, contact Xerox or your printer/copier service provider.

HP Printer won't work with computer since reformat

When the system was reinstalled, the proper printer drivers probably weren't installed. Unplug the printer from the computer. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Printers. If your Photosmart 2610 is there, right-click on it and select 'Delete.' Allow it to remove all associated driver files. Run the printer's setup CD. If you don't have the driver CD, go to this link: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=421139&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us select your operating system and download the Full Feature Software and Drivers (hopefully you have a broadband connection). Run this setup program and follow all of the on-screen instructions. Do not plug your printer into the computer until instructed to during the installation.

This should resolve this problem. Happy printing!

Error mesage

NOTE: Some Status codes will not clear even though the problem has been fixed. Status codes that will not clear must be manually reset using the 'Fault Reset 14 Procedure'.
  1. Locate the [C] (Clear) button on the Control Panel, at the far right.
  2. Locate the Image Quality button, below the Auto on the Control Panel, toward the left side.
  3. Press the buttons in the following sequence within 4 seconds. Press [C] (Clear), press [Image Quality], press [C] (Clear) again, press [Image Quality] again.
  4. The error code should disappear. If the Status code does not clear, repeat step 3 until the status code clears; but no more than five times.
  5. Use the [10] and [1] buttons to enter 14 on the Display Screen, as if you were to make 14 copies.
  6. Press the [Start] button. The machine should be ready to use.
  7. Make a copy, to check that the machine is working properly
IF these steps do not work you will have to replace the fuser or fuser heat rod then perform the reset.
