How do I find my xbox 360s mac address

Hey there,

You can find your xbox's Mac address by going to the Dashboard, navigating to the 'settings' tab, go into 'settings', down to Network Settings, click on your active network and click "configure network", go into "additional settings", down and click on "Advanced Settings". There you will find your Xbox's Mac Address!

Dashboard>System Settings>Network Settings>'Chosen Router'>Configure Network>Additional Settings>Advanced Settings'

Trying to get xbox live but it states 'MAC' address, what is MAC address please?

A mac address is a unique code which identifies a piece of hardware. Sounds like your router is set up to only allow access to hardware that it has a mac address for, known as 'MAC address filtering'.

You could turn it off via your router's setup page, but it is there to provide an extra level of security, so it's best to leave it on.

You can find your xbox mac address by following these instructions

1. Navigate to the System area of the Xbox Dashboard.
2. Select 'Network Settings'.
3. Select 'Edit Settings'.
4. Select 'Additional Settings'.
5. Select 'Advanced Settings.'
The MAC address will be displayed toward the bottom of this page where it says 'Wired MAC Address'.

Networking problems

I think you need to register the MAC address of your xbox. Try to call your ISP or xbox people to register your xbox mac address so that you can use in wirelessly. They need to clone the mac address of your xbox so that when you need to use your router it wont have any problem connecting to the internet.

Xbox to mac

Kind of a big slap in the face for Microsoft, don't you think? Some pals of mine said Xbox blocks Mac media connections because they don't want Apple and Microsoft products mixing, although you can listen to an iPod on your Xbox. So, I'm not sure you can.

My western digital passport 250gb wont appear on my mac mini anymore. When I lug it into a pc it says it needs reformatting, but when I plug into an xbox 360 it works fine! How do I make it work on my mac...

This is due to how the Xbox sees the drive.
The PC only sees FAT or NTFS Files systems assuming Windows. MAC only see's it filesystems. try ftping to your Xbox through the network connection assuming it's a lan connected xbox - login with userid: xbox password: xbox and access the drive. Most free ftp programs work. You just need one that runs on Mac

XBOX 360 not connected to wireless connection on Linskys WAG54G2

You should enter the "Wireless MAC Address" of the XBOX and not just the "MAC Address". You can see it on the system info of the XBOX settings.

  2. From the Xbox Dashboard, choose Settings, and then Network Settings.

    Alberta: http://oca.ab.hsia.telus.net.

  9. Follow the steps in Direct Connection with Telus to try to connect to Xbox Live again.
Registering Your Router MAC Address

    Alberta: http://oca.ab.hsia.telus.net.
