Setting the time and calendar
1. Press the [TIME] button once to enter Time Mode. The display shows the current time with hour, minutes, and seconds digits.
2. Press and hold the [SET] button for more than one second. The "Hour" digits of the time will begin flashing.
3. While the "Hour" digits are flashing, press the [^] or [down] button to set the desired hour time. Note: Press the [^] or [down] button once to advance the setting forward or backward by one digit. Pressing the [^] or [down] for more than one second will accelerate the forward or backward setting at a higher rate.
4. When the desired hour time is reached, press the [SET] button again. The "Hour" setting will be confirmed and the "Minute" digits will begin flashing.
5. While the "Minute" digits are flashing, press the [^] or [down] button to set the desired minute time.
6. When the desired minute time is reached, press the [SET] button again. The "Minute" setting will be confirmed and the "Year" digits will begin flashing.
7. While the "Year" digits are flashing, press the [^] or [down] button to set the desired year.
8. When the desired year is reached, press the [SET] button again. The "Year" setting will be confirmed and the "Month" digits will begin flashing.
9. While the "Month" digits are flashing, press the [^] or [down] button to set the desired Month.
10. When the desired month is reached, press the [SET] button again. The "Month" setting will be confirmed and the "Date" digits will begin flashing.
11. While the "Date" digits are flashing, press the [^] or [down] button to set the desired Date.
12. When the desired date is reached, press the [SET] button again. The "Date" setting will be confirmed and the calendar setting is complete.

Oregon Scientific WMR86A wind sensor does not communicate to the base station. It is a new device, first time assembled.

I believe the wind sensor is a rotating cuff that has a wire which needs to input into the main reader or the wifi unit.if it's the wifi unit you need to check the receiver is picking up the signal.if it's the main readout then check the connection.if it is wireless, you may find a switch on the transmitter to change channel.this may fix the problem, especially if the receiver is near other wireless or bluetooth equipment.

Model no 217s31 does not display outdoor temperature reading.

As much as it sucks to do, you have to reset the base and the temperature sensor. When you do it, keep the temp sensor next to the base until the base recognizes it.
