How do I empty the water from the main reservoir?

  • Turn off the Keurig coffee maker, and unplug the power cord. Allow the unit to cool for 30 minutes before emptying the water. This gives the water inside the hot water tank an opportunity to cool, helping to prevent accidental scalding when emptying.
  • Pull the lid off the top of the water reservoir. Lift the water reservoir straight up and to the right of the coffee maker. Pour out any remaining water in the reservoir into the sink.
  • Turn the small thumb screw on the back of the Keurig coffee maker counterclockwise with your fingers, and pull off the rear access panel. If the screw is too tight to turn with your fingers, use a flat-head screwdriver to turn the screw. Once you remove the access panel, a tube with a plug on the end is visible. Pull the tube out of the plastic clip holder.
  • Place a large pitcher behind the coffee maker. Hold the end of the tube over the pitcher, and pull the plug out of the tube. Allow the water to drain into the pitcher. If necessary, maneuver the coffee maker to the edge of the counter, and hold the pitcher alongside the counter with the top at counter level.
  • Push the plug back into the end of the tube once no more water drains from the hot water tank. Empty the pitcher of water into the sink, and push the tube back into the plastic clip holder. Position the back access panel onto the coffee maker and secure with the thumb screw knob.

I bought a used Jura Capresso CoffeeTec 471. When i fill the water container and place the water container in the unit, it leaks water all over my counter. It seems the gaskets just can't hold the flow...

I had the same problem. I filled the water container and held it up for a while to make sure the two plunger/valves were not leaking. They held water well so I knoew it was probably not the tank. I called Capresso at 800-767-3554 and spoke to a tech. She asked me to test the water container and I told her I had already done this. She said then unless it was an internal problem it probably was the two seating valves that the tank fits into. She said the soft rubber gets hard over time. She sent them to me for free. I tried them today and when I took out the old ones they were very hard and the plastic cover was a little nicked. The new rubber is very plyable and when I put them in and seated the full water tank it made a nice rubber-to-plastic squeeking sound that let me know it seated correctly. It has been 2 hours so far with ten cups of water and no leaks. If you try this make sure you place the rubber grommet into the hole with the solid side up. It is shapped like an "n" and the open side goes down. Good luck.

I broke the peice that puts water through the coffee basket on a Keurig Elite B40 Coffee Maker where can I buy parts for this?

If you are talking about the K-cup holder that punches the bottom of the k-cups, they usually are not for sale, and you can only find them on ersale sites like Ebay.etc...
you could also go buy a "Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter"
and just use the main grey plastic filter holder... but you will have to puncture the bottom of the k-cups yourself before dropping them into the holder...
You wont need the filter basket or the lid if your using k-cups... just the filter holder...

dont forget to punch a hole in the k-cup first...

    Philips senseo coffee is watery

It may be the pod holder, there is a seal under the black disc at the bottom of the holder, the water will bypass the coffee under pressure, travel to the outside of the pod holder and exit the centre where the filter mesh is,if there is no foam also this is a sure sign, fill the empty pod holder with water and see how quick the water drips,I had this same issue and bought a new pod holder and compared, should be no more than 1 drop a second, you can knock the plastic out and re seat the O ring or buy a new holder, hope this is of use to you

Can't get the water to brew through the coffee

I know it's not the same make as mine, but when I had that problem, it was the strainer holes that were blocked and the coffee wouldn't filter through, I just took a wire brush to it and cleared the holes no problem and away she went. . Hope that helps
