I'm having problems with my Archos 504 MP3 player. I had a file corrupted message on my screen and after I turned the machine off it was unable to power up either with the docking station or with the computer connector. I bought a new battery and still have no power. I have over 15,000 songs on it and I don''t want to buy a new player. What can I do?
There is little documentation regarding the reset. However there is one in the Archos 504. If you take the battery off and look at the connecting Pins of the battery of the main unit. You will see a small Gold Button (looks like the circuit). This is the main reset button. If you Press it all will be good. You will not loose anything unless you have a Main File corrept but at least you will get function back so you can fix the firm ware.
I hope this helps you.
