Either the system is in valet or, the chirps have been deleted or, the siren is broken.
If the LED is on solid the system is in valet. open the door, press lock, unlock, lock on the remote to remove valet.
Press and hold the lock button. This activates the car finder/panic. The siren should begin to wail. If it does, the siren works. If it doesn't and all you see is the aprking lights flashing the siren is defective.

SOURCE: viper 5701 led light does not flash when armed, stays lit when alarm is disarmed

If the LED is on solid then the alarm is in valet. To exit valet, press "F" twice then press unlock on the remote. The LED should turn off.
OR,
enter the vehicle, turn the ignition on then off, press and release the valet/programming button on the antenna. LED should turn off

SOURCE: viper alarm keypad will beep for 30 seconds every time I arm or disarm

Change the battery, 2-way remotes require 2 slim batteries on top of one another. Regular remotes only require 1.

SOURCE: my viper 2 way pager remote will not arm or disarm

It could be set on car #2. Press function for 8 seconds and a light next to lock should come on. If the light next to unlock and lock (two lights) then it is set to #2 car (you can operate 2 cars with one remote). All you have to do is press function again to toggle between the two cars. You want to end up with only one light showing.
So, hold function for 8 seconds, then after a light shows, release and press function until you only see the one light.

7254v remote bips when arming or disarming with a new battery

Hi

If you want to reset your Viper alarm, you can do so with your car's fob key.
  1. Point the fob key toward your vehicle as the alarm sounds.
  2. Listen and wait for your alarm to sound for six seconds. Press the lock button on your key. Your vehicle's Viper alarm will reset but the alarm will still be armed.

Car does not arm or disarm when door opened alarm goes off

Hi, I love the viper. Mine worked flawlessly for many years until one time my unit would not arm or disarm. Obviously 1st I checked batteries which were good. I took mine to installer and they said I had a remote go bad. He got me new remote and that was it. Sometimes I wonder if somehow I managed to hit a factory reset sequence on my remote. Considering your also having an issue with door contacts as well, I would hope it's not the main unit. My system also had a special override switch in the footwell, if you have one, perhaps you may have switched accidentally. Hope this helps in troubleshooting.

Can't disarm even with toggle switch

ususally this happens when the alarm dosent read the door being open, if the alarm dosent read that the door is open you should be grounding out the door trigger (green wire in most alarms) and repeat steps to deactivate the alarm

When i arm and dis arm system i get error beep?

Hit f and then unlock

You may have lock out the remotes. If that doesn't work DEI has a one yr gurantee on remotes. In your box there should be a registration card. Call them.

Viper 5901, Ford 2008 6.4/ When I use the trucks door keypad

If you use the viper remote to arm the alarm, you MUST use the viper remote to disarm the alrm prior to opening the door. The only REAL solution is to add the keyless entry feature to the viper system, and quit using hte factory remote all together.

VIPER 5701 GOES OFF ON ITS OWN

this is a EASY FIX.... if the car has a factory alarm installed, then the installer never connected the OEM disarm wire. its a LIGHT GREEN/BLACK wire connected to the H2 harness. just have them connect that and youre problem will go away .

I cant disarm my alarm

Get inside the car, turn the key to the on position, the alarm is going to sound so do not panic when the alarm sounds press the valet button one time and the alarm should stop. To place the alarm in valet mode cycle the key with the door open on then off then press the valet button one time and the alarm should go into valet mode meaning the alarm light will be on steady.

Viper remote starter sets off alarm.

Whoever hooked up your system did not hook up the factory alarm disarm and arm wires. Your car thinks it is being stolen as a result of this. You need to get a wire diagram of your car and hook up the proper wires.
