Electronic tech needs help this tv only half of picture is showing what could be the problem i wants to fix it myself

Hello Danyell,
According to the model number you provided you have a 42" Insignia plasma TV. The problem you reported with having just a blank black screen on the lower half is due to a bad lower buffer board or also called a lower scan board. The part number is LJ92-01739C and if you Google this part number you can find these online and also find some sites that may show a short video on how to replace it. Price of this board looks to be about $35. Also of note is you will find that this part number is a Samsung part number which means your Insignia TV has a Samsung plasma panel in it so the associated circuit boards will also be Samsung parts.

Half screen is blank 42lg20 or 42lg50 when

This is likely to be the T-con board. If the entire screen glows but you have no picture on the second half of the screen then it is the main board, not the backlight inverter. If the screen is half picture and half gray it is the T-con board.

Replacement of one of the above will fix the issue.

Hi, I have the Medion LCD-TV model MD 30058 40inch. I cant get a clear picture anymore, there are popping up lines, like there are bad signals. Sometimes the screen goes totally black, and I have to turn...

Medion LCD-TV model MD 30058 40inch is a "troublemaker", the problem you descibe Trond Larsen can probably be solve by replacing a capacitor on the CPU board, costing only NOK10,-

Only half of my screen shows a picture, the other half is black. It is not a split screen, half of the picture is missing

You have a problem with the vertical IC. Or someone typed into the software and hit a service blank option..Cances are better that you have to resolder the vertical IC. This is a projection TV...correct?

VIZIO P42 plasma, half screen ok, other half showing blank

First you have to check if voltage and data are ok at the Y sustain board and the Y driver boards are not running hot. Even if you know how to replace these panels you must have a scope to adjust the v-set up and v- down. Not just a simple PNP. Trouble shooting a plasma is not a short time process to do it correctly. Please let a service center look at it for you.

Philips LCD model 26TA1000, vertical lines and blank white screen with no picture

it would be easier to find it stripped from a damaged set on ebay.
I see several there but need the part number to search
of course you may purchase that and find it to be the lcd driver.hopefully not.

Flashing led light

Sounds like the circuit board may need to be replaced. Mine did a similiar thing only my picture turned upside down, screen went blank yet had good voice. Samsung tech said the 2 circuit boards were bad and had to be replaced at a cost of $780 in parts plus labor. I bought a new LCD TV, not Samsung.

Half screen activated only

When only a half screen is produced, it is usually a upper or lower buffer board, if the top half is blank then it is the upper buffer, and of course if it's the bottom half then it's the bottom buffer board
