SOURCE: Removing and cleaning Epson Printheads

I don't know how to remove the print head but if you want to clean it - check for mr.musculo solution from any market near you. Leave the print head in this solution (warmed at about 35 celsius) for several up to 24 hours.

SOURCE: after replacing the black ink nothing prints

Hello, I am having the same problem and have done extensive research to find out that with this exact problem you have mentioned, you must clean the printer head, nozzles, and waste ink tube. the process is a bit long and needs patience. You will have to take the print head assembly out of the sliding caddle and put it in a glass of rubbing alcohol to disolve the dryed ink within the printer head assembly. it is held in with a silver metal plate that runs across the assembly and screws to the sliding carriage. be carefull to remove the black clip on the right of the carriage to take it out. note to be careful to not pull the white info lines of the head. leave it in the glass overnight and also clean the tube that runs under the waste pad station and clean the clear waste tube as well. ....Good luck

SOURCE: Black not printing about every 3rd line

You have the classic single nozzle failure it appears. You say you have done a nozzle check. This should reveal that one of the black nozzles is not working i.e. there is a single gap in your nozzle check printout for the black nozzles. Now, this may be due to a blocked nozzle. Try the following print head soak process.

Turn the printer on, and as soon as the print head moves pull the power cord out of the back, or turn the printer off at the mains. You may now carefully move the print head by hand over to the left hand side out of the way. Look inside the print head parking area on the right and you will see a small rubber cup that comes up to cover the print nozzles when the head is parked (to stop it drying out). Use a syringe or dropper to fill this cup with head cleaning fluid or distilled water. DO NOT USE TAP WATER. Carefully push the print head fully into its parking position so that the cup full of fluid comes up over the print head. Leave this for at least 24 hours, then try a head clean again. If still nothing, report back

SOURCE: EPSON BX300F BLACK PRINT HEAD BLOCKED TRIED TO

If you've cleaned the heads, and swapped the cartridges then it doesn't sound too good.
if you do a google search for Epson Printer Repairers in google with your location so like Cambridge or whatever they'll need to take a look.
You could also check to see if its under warranty - put your serial number in here;

Black ink will not print

Have you tried setting the color to black cartridge only. You may be printing the black with a combination of colored inks. I occasionally have a similar problem. Sometimes I can get the black to work by taking a paper towel dampened with distilled water and holding it against the cartridge print head until I see black ink coming out. Replace the cartridge and try printing again. If this doesn't work try a new cartridge and run through your Printer Settings, making sure they are all set properly.

Printer does not print good copy after doing several head cleaning operations and having enough ink in cartridges.

If the print has horizontal lines of 'missing print' do three head cleqans don't move the printer or switch it off, now leave it overnight - letting the head soak in fresh ink- in the morning, do one more head clean and then print the nozzle check. If it's poor photocopying it is most probably because the print quality for photocopy is set to a low setting. The manual will explain how to change photocopy print quality. Hope this helps

My epson stylus photo printer is printing a black vertical line in all my prints. I have done the head cleaning and print head alignment several times. Is there anything else I can do?

black vertical lines on the printout comes due to some reasons.
1) if the black cartridge is near to its end it will give black lines instead of proper printing.
the cartridges gets over many times due to head cleaning and deep cleaning.in 3-4 cleanings cartridge gets over.in one cleaning 4 ml of ink gets puled out of cartridge.the whole quantity of cartridge is near to 25 ml.
but if the cartridge is full then the problem is of cartridge head .the head is the part in which you insert the cartridges if the head is got blocked internally to its holes from where ink comes out.then there are two methods to clean the head one is head cleaning which you did.the other is removing the head by disassembling the printer and then cleaning the head manually with isoprophyll liquid.but its a time consuming and tough job.a local printer repair center will be advisable,
and in some cases it has seen that cartridge gets air pressure problem inside and due to that it leaks inside the printer so replacing that cartridge solves the problem.also many times the cartridge gets leaked and that leaked ink gets collected and stuck up on the roller of the printer from where paper passes so the strips of ink gets printed on the paper.in this case no head cleaning but cleaning the internal roller of the printer with tissue paper helps.the procedure is called servicing.that can also be done at local printer repair center.or you can do it manually by using tissue paper.but to service whole printer it needs to be disassemble.
check out his option.thanks.

This printer has not been used much since it was purchased 4 years ago. The black ink will print/copy, but misses about 2 lines in an alternating pattern. I'm new to this machine. Have cleaned heads,...

Ink cartridges don't do well when you let them stand for long periods. The ink dryes up on the print head. Try taking out the cartrige then take a damp paper towel with hot water (microwave works great for heating it up) draw the print head over it several times until you see ink flow evenly. them take a dry paper towel and draw the in head over it the same amount of times and reinstall. If doesn't solve the problem you may need to replave the cartridge.

Not printing magenta ink and tried cleaning heads already

Hi, one or two head cleans won't clear a clogged nozzle. Try doing 4 or 5 head cleans, wait about 10 hours for the ink to soften and do another 3 or 4 cleans with a nozzle check after each. You should see a gradual improvement in the nozzle checks. If there is no improvement then you need a head cleaning solution such as this one:
http://www.powerklin.co.uk/?gclid=CNGDypir-JgCFQ4yQgodZlC4lw

Others are available just try googling "inkjet head cleaning".
Note that head cleaning uses between 5 and ten percent of your ink cart's, if any are low on ink have some new ones ready. Hope this helps.
Please take a moment to rate this solution, thanks.

The black ink cannot be

Are you confident the new cartridge is full and in-date? Can you confirm that the old cartridge was not removed until immediately before the new cartridge was installed? Did you remove the yellow tape from the new cartridge before you installed it? Was the black cartridge change properly completed such that an ink charging cycle occurred? Have you carried out any head cleaning cycles? If not, do it. Have you done a nozzle check print? If not, do it. Any sign of black ink? Yes, but not perfect? If not, do a couple more head cleans and nozzle checks. If still not perfect, let it rest for 24 hours to disperse air bubbles. Then repeat.

If you have already done lots of head cleans with no result, and you're sure you have a good ink cartridge properly installed, then there are other things we can try - assuming other solutions haven't worked either. Report back on my queries etc.

No ink coming from cartridges.

Seems like a lot of people are all of a sudden having these problems. I have had this printer for 4 years I think and no problems at all. Phone support says to clean the heads 3 times and then they give up. By the way, there is no tape to remove from authentic ink cartridges for this printer. The cartridge holder pops a hole in the film. You cant pull that cover off, it is popped when inserted.

After replacing the black ink nothing prints

Before taking out a new ink cartridge from its package, shake it four to five times. Are you sure you have the proper ink replacement cartridge. The following Epson ink cartridges should be used in your device: * Black: T0431 (high capacity cartridge) or T0441 (standard capacity cartridge) * Cyan: T0442 * Magenta: T0443 * Yellow: T0444 How did you discover the ink was low? Did the machine prompt you or was the printer not printing properly? The other colors should blend together to give you atleast some form of black. If the printer alerted you to change the cartridge...Go back through the procedure to install a new cartrige. Follow the steps below to replace ink cartridges. Make sure the CX6600 is on. When the ink is empty: Refer to the LCD panel message to see which ink cartridge is empty, then press the Color button. When the ink is low: Press the Setup Mode button to enter the Setup Mode and press the A button repeatedly until 5.Ink cartridge appears on the LCD panel, then press the Color button. The ink cartridges move to the replacement position. Make sure that the document cover is closed, then open the scanner unit. Open the cartridge cover. Pinch the sides of the ink cartridge that you want to replace. Lift the cartridge out of the CX6600. reinstall the same cartridge. (Try shaking it a few times again) If none of the above works uninstall the printer. Download the newest drivers from epson and the should straighten it out. Good Luck. Tim
