When i start a wash it clicks and E40 shows up
E40 is an error from the door locking mech (interlock).this is the bit
behind the port hole door frame ,where the door
striker pin goes through hole.hope this helps you.held on with 2 screws
and you need to remove plastic clamp from door gasket to gain access.

If this fault appears after you shut the door but before the programme starts then it's worth checking the tightness of the screws holding the interlock in. These are the one you can see with the door open, no dismantling required. If they are loose then the catch (******) on the door can have trouble reaching the interlock properly. If the fault code appears then it's more likely to be a component fault.
