Colors are skewed on Pioneer Pro-520HD

The colors on my Pro-520HD are not aligned. I have a red shadow slightly above everything on the sceen. The TV also has a blue shadow slightly below everything. This happens in both HD and SD.

You can replace your the convergence chips on the convergence board. The board is to identify because it has a large heat sink. The convergence chips normally starts with STK... After you find the chip, you can buy online (ebay has a lot of listing) and costs around $10. If you know how to solder, it is very easy to do. I just replace the convergence chips on myPRO-610HD and it works perfectly.

The convergence P.C.B. will have to be replaced. The convergence output ICs on that board have failed. Its an expensive repair, expect to spend $350-600.

Red shadows on my 64 inch Pioner HD TV

It is probably in need of an alignment, which is pretty typical for rear-projection TVs. Try calling a TV technician.

Red light on back of pioneer pro-520hd

The most common issue on this model is the power board develops all kinds of bad solder connections--have to remove and in most cases hand solder the entire board.

Picture has a red hue to it. I have checked the convergence and the lines up and stays put. The TV was working great when I turned it off and when I turned it back on this condition was present.

The problem could be a few things, check your color balance and contrast or try adjusting the guns. If its a fuzzy red haze, kind of like a halo around things, it may just be that the crt coolant fluid needs changed. I, myself, have had a problem with the tinted halo in my rear projection Toshiba tv, I replaced the crt coolant fluid and the picture returned to good as new.

Words have shadows and yellow is also blue ex football game yardage lines are yellow and then there is a blue line words are not sharp

Not familiar with this particular model but it should have a convergence menu. If so, try using the convergence menu (which is basically a cross pattern (possibly multiple ones) that you use as a reference to align your colors and make the cross pattern white. When you go to this menu and see the cross patterns, if you see the shadowing of the colors, you will know what I'm talking about. If this adjustment(s) don't work, you may have a problem in your convergence board circuitry. Wish I could be of more help but try the menu.....I've fixed 2 or 3 sets like this now. Good luck!
