HP 2550n Randomly dropping colours

New Cartridges and new drum. Drops Yellow mostly. But other colours are dropping randomly too. Have recalibrated ad nauseum! Any suggestions

The process of printing creates waste which is in front of the location where the toner, is, it means the box is full, remove the toner drum and empty the waste, it will stop.

Little toner drops on printed pages, but it had stopped

What I understand is some colors are printing, some colors are blank on the copies.
What is happening here, is the developer carrisole is rotaing and not stoping at the correct position, and is random with no error code.
The solinoid is sticking and will not stop the carrisole in the right position.
To repair this, one needs to take off the top and side right side cover.(Looking at the front of the machne.)
On the top of the machine next to the black laser unit. is a solinoid under a bracket with a plunger. This plunger rides on a metal cam lobe. Take off the bracket assembly, take off the two screws that hold the solinoide.
Turn the solinoid upside down and remove the spring. With some soapy water remove the foam and sticky tape.
This solinoid is sticking and will not release when in full operation. Once it is cleaned; and insulator (teflon, Shrink Tubing, ect..) needs to be put back on where the foam pad was between the plunger and the solinoide, so the plunger will not stick to the plunger. (Solinoid body is magnetic.)
Reinstall the solinoid.
Run copies, the machine should operate just fine. If the Drum is damaged and scratches, one can use the machine as it is, or buy an new drum.
The machine should work just fine now.
Best of luck.

Remanufactured toner cartridges? that sounds like the problem - not that they are all bad, but many are.

Why does the 2550n printer not printing fully in the left column

Is the print quality poor on left side for all colors? You may have one bad cartridge. Create a paint document with Yellow, Magenta and Cyan squares on the left side and see if one color prints better than the others. You can also gently shake the cartridges to redistribute toner.

Only yellow is printing

Put the cartridge head in hot water for a minute, the ink may have clogged the print head.

I have an Hp CM6030f MFP that said to change the yellow toner. When I changed the yellow toner which was more than half full it is now stuck in calibration mode.

  1. Power cycle the printer and Verify the "Replace Cartridge?? message is still present.
  2. Remove ALL the cartridges (Toner and Drum cartridges).
  3. Power cycle the printer
  4. Install one by one of the cartridges when the printer requests them
  5. Verify that the new cartridge is recognized by printing the Supplies Status Page.

HP Colour HP Lazerjet 2550. Problem when printing.

Your problem is likely a defective drum. Is it new or refurbished? I would take it back to the store where you purchased it and tell them the drum is defective and has been printing spots since it was installed, and was not doing that before.
