Just bought house that has Kenmore elite calypso 21086 washer. My clothes all come out with medium color dirt streaks on whites and light dirt streaks on dark items. Can this be repaired and , if so, how? Thanks for any help you can give.
Run the hottest & fullest cycle possible - without a load - and add a grease remover - like goo-gone. Fatty tissues build up inside the tub - and can be released on hot cycles if HOT wasn't used very often.
It is recommended to run a HOT load every 2 weeks or so to avoid these buildups and staining of clothes.

I have the same problem! Why do the white shirts I wear to the office leave the washer with dark streaks? And my dark clothes have light streaks! I washed my mattress cover and it came out completely streaked with mud-like marks!
This has been the worst appliance purchase of my life.
My comment is that the washing machine suks. It is the worst washing machine I have ever had. It should be on recall by Kenmore and the design should be scrapped. I have tried EVERYTHING and it has RUINED many many of my clothes, linens, etc.
The bottom line is this washing machine SUKS. It is the worst washing machine I have ever owned and I paid a lot of money for it. It should be recalled by Kenmore and replaced with something decent for every single purchaser. This washing machine has ruined many many of my clothes, linens, etc.
The washing machine is total utter garbage.
