My new operating system doesn't recognize my scanner any longer but does do fine with the printer which are both the same machine. How do I fix that? I moved from Mac OX leopard to Mac OX snow leopard....

Hi,
Shortly after the world started upgrading to Snow Leopard, reports began emerging that many Hewlett-Packard printers were incompatible with the upgrade. So, you can wait till you get the updated driver which is compatible with Mac Snow leopard.
Good Luck!

These "proposed solutions" obviously have absolutely NO relation to the problem stated. Which by the way is far too typical of this site. :(

My isub knocks out the in built speakers when i plug it in, Please help.? Thanks. K... I have a G5 2.1Ghz processor and am using OSX 10.5.6. the isub works for a few seconds then the whole sound goes dead...

It is possible the sub is turned up to high or is drawing to much power and the system goes into protection mode. Turn sub down all the way when connecting, than go into your taskbar, find the volume control icon, right click, go into properties settings and than you can choose which speaker set-up you have.

Work with Leopard?

Apparently, with Leopard, you should be able to just plug in your USB cable and it will register. Go to Settings, then Print/Fax and click on the Add button. Make sure that the USB cable is attached securely both at the printer and the computer. I struggled with this for at least two hours, before my husband came home to fix it and it just worked. Very annoying.
