Try using a different sd card with smaller capacity, like 256mb instead of 2 gb

The E53 error code generally refers to the recording media error.
Try using a different SD card with lesser capacity, like 256mb instead of maximum capacity Memory Stick.

I have a jdc315 can i put a 4gb memory card into it

The Jazz company phone number is 732-572-7050. You'll need to call them to find out what that means or whether your camera can even take a 4gb card.

Error message is F--

Well, it looks that FE message means that the camera is confused. I saw this message when I put a non-D lens and automatic TTL flash  (which does require D lens to measure a distance). Usually putting the camera (or flash in my case) into manual mode got rid of the error.

File error

Dear jesusfreak22,
I would try reformatting the memory card and see if that gets rid of the file error message. In the manual for your camera it says that message means that the camera is having a conflict when playing back images processed by a computer or another camera.

Sincerely,
Agent Allan

The camera screen displays error message

This error message means that the card is corrupted or formatted for another digital camera. Turn off the camera. Insert a new card or format the card. CAUTION: Formatting deletes all pictures and videos, including those that are protected. Removing a card during formatting may damage the card.
