canon powershot A470 problem when i click photo then white image come?
but when i use it night it is normal. but during daylight or with
sunlight.. white image appear....and every time i take a picture there's a horizontal line appears in the picture..
I had the same issue with the white horizontal lines with myCanon Powershot series camera too. When taking pictures, I get the horizontal lines. In daylight, I almost cannot see the pictures because it gives me very bright output. In darker areas, the picture can still be toleratedbut white lines are still there. Although when I am taking a video, the quality is good.
I was able to read that there is one part insidethe camera's mechanism that is faulty. Its a CCD problem. You should bring this to a CanonAuthorized service center and they should replace and fix the faultypart, free of charge. I got my Camera fixed for FREE! I was able to do macro shots again.Trust me and go to canon. What I did is to print this advisory fromcanon itself. And show it to them. http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=PgComSmModDisplayAct&fcategoryid=221&modelid=8288&keycode=2112&id=29819
As part of their advisory: "Effective immediately, and regardless of warranty status, Canon willrepair, free of charge, the products listed above exhibiting theabove-mentioned malfunction if Canon determines that the malfunction iscaused by the CCD image sensor. Canon will also cover the cost ofshipping and handling in connection with this repair."
i am facing same problem with my canona430 camera , I have been using for the past 2.5 years. I went to authorised service center & they told me the prob. is due to over exposure & repairing cost will be around Rs.3000/-(approx. USD 60) with bill
Hi!
No, it's not a software problem. The problem is that the shutter
doesn't work so it can't control the amount of light taken so the
pictures are very bright with horizontal lines. There are usualy two
causes - a broken shutter cable inside the lens or the shuuter blades
are stuck - may happen if the lens get wet or something adhesive gets
in it. It's a hardware problem so I suggest you contact local Canon or
other camera service center. It is considered a hard repair so it could
get expensive. I don't think it's worth it, so I would suggest you get
another camera.
change the lcd setting by pressing menu then right arrow. go down to the sun picture and then click the left arrow and put it in the middle. i hope this helps.
I think your ISO setting is very high or is in default. Please shift it 100 whent you thaking outdoor snaps in daylight or normal indoor light. It will help you to produce a better photograph. Best wishes.
Same problem here with the A430 I contacted Canon tech support and it looks like I'm going to be buying a new camera because it's not worth the effort and money to get it fixed. Rest assured, the new camera will not be a Canon.
