You are probably talking about the LED lit flashlight flying disk. It's definitely eye catching as it throws like a lightweight Frisbee but is lit by Led fiber optics that illuminate it for hours. A brilliant gift for kids who love the beach and playing outdoors.

Toddlers will usually spend hours in the sand, building things, making pretend food and generally just getting very messy in the sand. Buckets and spades never seem to get boring for kids, but if you want to branch out, there are sand toys that come in all sorts of shapes, such as a cup cake set or a baking set.

Anyone able to suggest some unusual games for the beach? I have to buy a gift for someone and am trying to avoid the usual bucket and spade stuff.

4 the beach.com have some original ideas on their site for gifts. How about the sand toss beach game, which is basically a bean bag throwing game but made from beach friendly materials.

My grandson is pirate crazy. I want to buy him some beach toys and maybe a bag to go with it. Anyone seen any pirate related stuff that I could buy.

You probably should look for handmade goods if you are looking for something a bit different for your grandson. On the Etsy site, I came across a really lovely pirate bag that comes with sand toys inside. Take a look, it sounds ideal for your grandson.

I want to buy sand toys that come in a bag for easy beach use. Any ideas?

Amazon sell a cheap sand toy beach bag that is made from plastic so it's really easy to just rinse out when it gets dirty or sandy.

Can anyone recommend some good sand toys for kids?

The basic sand toys of bucket and spade are sometimes the best, but if you are looking for something a bit different, you can read this article on the Parents website that suggests some of the best beach toys for kids.
