Joy stick power stays off when charged

If the joystick on your power wheelchair remains inactive even after charging, several issues may be at play. First, check if the charging process completes successfully, ensuring the battery is fully charged. If the joystick power persists to stay off, examine the joystick's connections and cables for any damage or disconnection. Additionally, inspect the battery terminals, ensuring they are clean and secure. If these steps don't resolve the problem, it may indicate a malfunction in the joystick itself, requiring professional diagnosis and potential replacement. Consult the wheelchair's user manual for specific troubleshooting steps or contact the manufacturer's customer support for guidance.

Wheelchair runs fine after charging but only after 1 day 6hrs use it stops with a jerk and then controller lights start blinking.

Abdus,
Thank you for all the information, number one, charge with the joystick on for 12-14 hrs. there is a circuit in the joystick that can cause problems, in order to reset it you will need to charge it like this. The batteries will last longer if the batteries are charged every night that it is used during the day, also, instills good charging habits.

The blinking is a flash code, count the flashes, and refer to the owners manual for meaning. The joystick maybe failing or the controller or both. Motors may need to be cleaned out.

How do i connect the 35 amp batteries to my ultra 3

with the battery cables vic seriously I'm gonna assume you have removed the seat and shroud cover over the batteries. Unplug the battery cables from the wiring harness and remove each battery remove the wiring harness from the battery and attach to the new batteries like they were to the old red on positive and black on negative and reinstall in the chair plug the joystick cable back into the chair turn on the chair to make sure you got it right unplug the joystick cable replace shroud and seat plug the joystick cable back in and you should be good to go. charge the batteries before use and then charge them nightly when you go to sleep and unplug in the morning if you use the chair daily charge everynight If you have to stop using it for a while always put it up fully charged and charge weekly Hope this helps you

I have a pronto 2003 chair when charging batteries it we no move even if i charge is all nigh when i trurn joystick on it flashing one red llight an 5 green lighs what is the oproble

The error code means one of three things. First it could mean the batteries did not charge up at all. Next is unlikely ,but it also means too high of a charge voltage. The code also comes on when the charger is plugged in to charge and you turn the joystick on. The chair protects itself from driving off with the charger cable plugged into the wall outlet. One more possibility exists, the onboard charger could be bad and bad batteries. You need to have a trained electronic tech check this out.

My chair wont stay powered on .you turn it on it goes off

If it just started to do this it could be no more than a losse connection from your joystick cable . Go ahead and follow that cable from your joystick all the way down to the back of your chair make sure everything is connected.

If that checks out ok it could be your on off button .Thats on your joystick it may be ''sticking'' if you have to press down really hard to turn on the chair .Than yes this is the problem .you can go to Pridemobility.com I do think they are selling just the "Three key pad '' for your joystick. so you dont have to buy a new joystick.

If that checks out ok ,It could be your batterys are not fully charged or charging ,whens the last time you charged it,did it charge fully .That could cause your problem too

well hope i was helpful ,good luck

Jazzy 1121 power chair won't charge when plug in to charge chair can move when you use joystick

you have either bad batteries or a bad charger or the charger might have come unplugged at the controller or power module. When you have the charger plugged in and you turn on the joystick the lights on the joystick should ripple to indicate the charger is plugged in. If you don't see this ripple then either the charger is bad or disconnected. Trace the charger cable from the rear of the chair (you have to remove the seat and shroud to do this) to the front module and make sure that the cable is plugged in. Hope this helps

Control box on pronto m51 wheelchair don;t work

When you say "control box" I assume that you mean the joystick. If there is no power to the joystick be sure that the batteries are fully charged and be sure that they do not need to be replaced, also be sure that the cables were not put on wrong. If all that checks out then be sure that all the cables are tight.

If all these do not solve the problem then you need to have the joystick tested.

Jazzy 1121 power chair won't go

If your chair is run by a Pilot VSI controller, the error code----3 red/4 yellow/ 1 green---indicates a controller failure. I am having controller problems of a different kind on a Jazzy 1107 and it appears that few shops will work on the controller. Replacement is very costly.
