My daughters DSi is set to English but plays games in Spanish. Its not the GAMES, because those same games play in English on her sisters DSi!! I have set hers back to English a thousand times! It wont change! Why are these games only playing in Spanish on her DSi when its set to English?! SO frustrated!

Then go buy another and if it does it again go the the games settings and change it back! :)

hate to tell you but from much feedback i beleive that the new dsi does not support r4 cart and those like it which i presume you have as that is what it sounds like, they will be bringing them out though but dont know wen and wil cost more money, hope that helped.

Dsi's have been made to prevent piracy and they cant use r4 cards

If your Daughter as been on the internet with her dsi, she will not be able to use the r4i, because if you update your dsi, it will stop her playing games with a r4i on her dsi, if she as dont update yours because it will do the same.

Well if the DS is new then your game just keeps poping out for no certin reason, if the DS is used then it's probably broken.

After changing my daughter's ds back to english, why is the game still being played in spanish?
Some DS games are only in one language, may it be French, Spanish or English. It's not all games, unfortunately, that have the ability to be multilingual.
In your case, it's a Spanish game which hasn't been translated to English. Therefore, changing the DS's language will have no effect on the game: it'll still be in Spanish whatever you do.
The only way to have the game in English is to have an English version of the game.

My daughter got a nintendo Dsi from japan as a gift. how do we convert its language to english?
oh as thoughtfull as that gift was you will not be able to play games bought in the usa on that due to regional settings. of course you can take it to gamestop as well they may be able to do something

Some ds games do not work on my ds but will work on my sisters and there are other games that will work on my ds. Is the problem with the ds or the game
it might be because you have a DSi, and your sister has a DS or DS lite

if so you cannot play some games because DSi are region locked, basically an US DSi can only play US games, a japanese DSi can only play japanese games etc etc,

DS and DS lite are not region locked and can play any game

How can i change my dsi from japanese to english?
Direct from the guys at nintendo: Nintendo DSi & Nintendo DSi XL - Settings - Language
You will be asked which language (English, French, Spanish) to use during the first time setup of the system, but the language setting can also be done through the system settings.
How to change the language:
  1. On the Nintendo DSi Menu, use the stylus to select the Settings ("wrench") icon.
  2. Select the right arrow thee times to go to page 4, then select "Language."
  3. Select from the options options on the screen:
    • English
    • Fran?ais (French)
    • Espa?ol (Spanish)
  4. Select OK (the bottom-right button) to confirm and return to the System Settings.

Japanese to English Version
I am not sure if this will help or not but it is worth a try. Here is how to change the language. Hopefully there will be a option to choose English.


How to change the language:

  1. On the Nintendo DSi Menu, use the stylus to select the Settings ("wrench") icon.
  2. Select the right arrow thee times to go to page 4, then select "Language."
  3. Select from the options options on the screen:
    • English
    • Français (French)
    • Español (Spanish)
  4. Select OK (the bottom-right button) to confirm and return to the System Settings.
Note: Some games that feature multiple languages may display in the language you have selected in the system settings.

Halo 3 only plays in Spanish
You might have a spanish version of the game but the only way to rule out that it is not your xbox console is to try it on a different console.

Best thing is to take the game into a store and ask them to check it.

This will confirm whether you have a Spanish game version PLUS they might be able to exchange this the correct one. If this isn't possible, take it back to where you originally bought it and exchange it with them.
