No solution found on your site. My 62" Toshiba DLP makes an extremely loud chopping noise when on HD channels using a satelite service. (Happened on Dish and Suddenlink) No sound except for the chopping. Regular channels works; only HD give us the problem. My small Toshiba (which is not HD)works on both HD and regular.

Blue-Ray works HD channels do not.

We use coaxil from the satelite to wall mount and HDMI cable is used from our TV to the cable box receiver.

When I unplug the TV (like a reboot) the sound comes back normal. I turn it off at night, then turn it on the next morning, the chopping noise comes back.

I did not unplug or reboot the satelite receiver, and the sound returns when TV is unplugged.

Have you contacted your satelite provider? Have you any other HD sources to try, A Playstation 3, a blue-ray disc player or even using the TV's terrestrial HD tuning system can tell you if its the TV or the Satelite.

If blue-ray is working in HD its most likely a problem in the satelite receiver, the connections you're making between the TV and the satelite receiver, or the set up configuration ( analog, digital, coaxial, fiber optic, etc. Are you using component cables, HDMI, or DVI as your connection between the TV and sat. rec.?

Toshiba 62hm95 makes whirring noise and color is distorted

Your color wheel is going out and needs to be replaced. Toshiba does not list a part# for the color wheel. They expect you to have the whole light engine rebuilt. You should be able to find one on ebay. Or other sites like that. Good luck to you.

No picture, siren type noise as restarting

My Toshiba dlp 62hm116 was used for 3 months then stored for 2 years, I turned it on yesterday and it makes a loud grinding noise which I think is probably from the exhaust fan area and the picture is black except white at both vertical sides. It worked fine the last time I used it 2 years ago. Any ideas?

I cannot get my computer to start at all.

Noises made by your HD is a clear sign of mechanical problem, your laptop cannot access the system files on your HD anymore. Have the HD replaced.

No pic...humming noice on 62'' toshiba dlp

was the lamp blown if it was blown you could be hearing the ballast
if the lamp was not blown and the new one did not fix it the red light indicates the door there is a little switch when you put the door back on if you look at it it may need to be adjusted so it will connect with the door if that is not it you could have a fan that is not turn if it is making a real loud constant humming noise while it trying to fire the lamp you probably have a bad color wheel

Toshiba DLP fan noise (52hmx95)

i constantly hear complaints about fan noise in dlptvs if you sit in front of your computer you will hear the same noise even in the next room there is no solution to the fan noise problem this product has a huge cage fan and a second and third three inch fans in it.... more than the samsung product it can be noticeable if the tv is on hard surfaces ie wood floors ,inthe corner, glass top etc the vents on the back of the tv allow for proper cooling of the lamp at shutoff so it doesnt shatter the tube its kinda like annealing glass its designed to extend the life of the lamp .... which im sure youve priced call toshiba and tell them your lamp is bad right now and get a new one for an emergency ( warranty if you can do it ) they are also improved this product is known to have short bulb life sometimes the zinging noise you hear is indicative of a bad color wheel in the light engine which would require replacement ( not cheap) toshiba will not piece out the color wheel assembly individually
