Hello. It sounds like, from what you said, you have a new thermocouple. The device it is attached to, the pilot safety, could have a problem internally that allows gas to the pilot, but does not open the main part of the valve, or electrically has failed on the main coil. If you have a thermostat with wires on it, you can jumper the wires, to bypass it, temporarily please, if it comes on, you need a thermostat, if not, it is the valve most likely.

Hope that helps, and thank you.

Burners work fine, pilot light in oven is on, but oven won't ignite

Make sure the thermocoupler is being heated by the pilot light flame. It could also be gunked up but you can clean it with a scouring pad, or it might need to be replaced. The thermocoupler is the most likely cause because if it isn't heated then the gas valve will not open up and no gas will flow to the burner. Since your pilot light is on then you do have gas to the valve.

I have a frigidare gas stove I have changed the ingnitor bar and it still wont light, it seems if there is no gas coming in to the oven. Altough the top burners still work

Good day!!!

Your pilot light might have gone out. If this is the case then you have to re-light it. If the pilot light won't stay lit, then you might have to adjust the thermocouple or move the pilot light closer to the burner.

I hope this information will be helpful..

Thanks for using fixya..Have a nice day!!

Can't get pilot light to stay lite in oven

make sure the thermocouple is positioned above pilot light this part needs to be heated up by the pilot light to keep gas going to the pilot light. if the thermocouple is positioned above pilot light and it doesn't stay light, replace thermocouple.

Oven burner will not ignite

try this web site for operations manual.
Sounds as if the thermocouple may be bad. It is enough to keep pilot lite but not enough to open safety valve. Some of their ovens have a "Mercury Switch" instead of a thermocouple. Look behind the kick plate. It will have a white ceramic base and have 2 wires going to it. The end sits in the pilot same as thermocouple. If there is a pilot valve, make sure that once the pilot is lit, you turn it to "on" if the position is available. Lots of options on these ovens as they custom build alot for certain companys. Check this out and let me know.

Pilot, controler and gas knob needed replacement

If you have the older Bakers pride manufactured more then 20 years ago and it has never had service, it sounds like the safety valve is defective, that's the red button you push in the light pilot, if the pilot is lit and when you turn the manual gas valve on for the main burner to lite and still it does not you problem still may be the safety and/or a failing thermocouple.

When Oven turns off so does oven pilot

Hi there, it is possible of the pilot being too close, but usually does not have that effect, unless the pilot is too small. But if you replaced the pilot, it should be clean, so next I would look at the gas pressure, if this is too low, the flame won't have proper burning speed, and strength, and could get drawn out. The control valve may be of the type that has a regulator built in, you may need someone skilled at gas pressure measuring, to do this, your gas supplier, appliance professional, plumber, should be able to do this.

Let us know, and thank you.

Bakers pride pizza oven not lighting

Hello. Usually this problem is related to the pilot being dirty, and not heating the bulb for the safety device properly/hot enough to fully open the valve. If you have a general purpose mini torch you can heat the metal bulb near the pilot with it, if this is the problem, the safety will open, and the main burner will come on. CAREFUL, you are not on/around the main burner, as it will allow gas to come on to the main burner, and if your pilot is not working properly, might not light the gas. Get the pilot cleaned and adjusted.

or... :) I know... your safety has failed, allowing gas to the pilot, but internally is not opening, this requires replacement. Last though, it could be your thermostat, its last in line, and would require replacement. The safety, and the thermostat are mechanical valves, open or closed depending on its function.

If you have a more current type, they will have a combination valve, and thermopile/thermocouple that are electromechanical, your thermostat at this point can be either mechanical, or electromechanical. This system has a few more possible causes for your symptom.
You can tell which you have by how you light the pilot, have a red button on the front of the unit, by the on/off valve? this is the first type.
Have to open a small door to access a knob, turn it to pilot, and hold in? this is the latter type.
ask if you need more help.
Hope that helps, and thank you.

Thermo coupler on all the time, push in button, shuts off gas

Bad Safety valve. (valve w/red button). Thermocouple keeps the magnet open to keep pilot and so gas can flow to burner. Make sure pilot is clean and strong and hitting thermocouple. If it doesnt stay lit replace Safety Valve.
