most printers do not have an automatic preference but a requirement to set it prior to printing
at the print stage go to properties , select the landscape or portrait button and apply
that makes it a default setting for all future printing

select manually on the panel.

i don't know what operating system you are using so this will be a general answer. go to control panel, click on "display", click on "change display settings", open the orientation tab and click on "landscape" and click apply. other options would be portrait, portrait flipped, and landscape flipped. luck.

click start control panel display desktop you can select a different desktop from the drop down list
or a browse button where you can select different pictures this may vary depending on your operating system

also you can change the settings for more or less pixels or from the drop down list pick the appropriate level of color range or troubleshoot also select advanced then general dpi normal size,larger size or custom settings
always click APPLY after making any changes

Printing in landscape or portrait !
First of all you have to create a portrait page.
When using the label programme select he page and tick the landscape option.
When you print it will do the rotation.

There should be an option either in the monitors drivers or in Windows Control Panel that sets it to portrait mode. I hope this helps, Yannick.

I went immediately yahoo answers and found the simple "ctrl, Alt, up arrow" answer I was looking for....

On a typewriter, Roll the Paper in the long ways, On some word processors you can change if you have a screen.

Press the following buttons
Ctrl+Alt+UP Arrow Key

That allows you to "toggle" between landscape and portrait settings on your computer...
