My epson stylus cx3200 is not printing quality images

It has full black and colour ink cartridges but it still prints out faided images, their not to its full potential. I have owned this printer for 6 years now so i was wondering whether it is on it's last legs or just has an internal problem that is the cause.

Can you help?

CX 3200 Epson, prints colour fine but does not print black, just had my cartridge refilled but still no print in black.

Hi!
Run a Head Cleaning Cycle. If that won't help. chances are the tubes are already blocked with the ink from previous cartridge. You can bring it to a Certified service center but its better getting a new one.
Hope this helps.

Although new black cartridge insalled (colour OK) page will not print in black - seems a blockage?

Open the printer and remove the ink. Clean around the ink carriage and the under the ink with alcohol and a cotton swab. Pay special attention to areas with copper contacts. Keep in mind too that some printers will not print, even with full ink, if the exact type of ink it expected you to have installed is not right. Double check that the ink is correct against the manual or written instructions inside the printer using the number not the shape. Not every cartridge that fits the printer necessarily works.

Epson sx200 One of the colour inks is empty and no print in black

Hi, this is not a solution because I don't think there is one apart from buying new inks. Epson and all other inkjet printers do this to prevent the coloured print head nozzles from getting blocked. If they are not used for a long time the ink dries up and blocks the nozzles. Epson recommends printing at least once a month with all colours to prevent this. Printing in black only option will only work if the colored inks are OK. Whenever the printer is turned on it performs a head clean, this is why the coloured inks get used over time even though they are not used for printing.

My epson stylus cx3200 is not printing in black but does print colour even though ink levels in both colour and black cartridges are fine

If you are brave I had the same problem. I removed my ink disconnected the data ribbon to the Head. Took off the nozzles. I used a child's med. syringe with the tube. Filled it will rubbing alcohol. placed the tube on the head where the ink cartage attaches and slowly put pressure on the syringe. Be care full it will flush the black ink everywhere. I kept doing this till the black was all flushed out. Put it back together. make sure you put the ribbons back in the right way. Mine works great.

Epsom cx3200 off brand ink refill

Make sure the print head nozzles are not clogged. You may need to clean the print head. This unclogs the nozzles so they can deliver ink properly. Print head cleaning uses ink, so clean it only if quality declines.

When you don't turn on your EPSON CX3200 for a long time, the print quality can decline. It's a good idea to turn on your EPSON CX3200 at least once a month to maintain good print quality.

1. Make sure the EPSON CX3200 is turned on but not printing, and the Error light is off.
If the Error light is flashing or on, you may need to replace an ink cartridge.
2. Press the left Menu button on the control panel several times until you see Cleaning and then press the Copy button.
Cleaning takes about 30 seconds, during which the EPSON CX3200 makes some noise and the Operate light flashes. Never turn off the EPSON CX3200 while the Operate light is flashing, unless the EPSON CX3200 hasn't moved or made noise for more than 5 minutes. setViewedFAQCookie(14082, 31605);

I have a epson stylus printer C65 series. I ran out of black ink so i changed the ink cartridge and it will only print colour not black now.

I have an Epson stylus 6000 series, second hand but was working just fine. I changed the ink cartridges and now the color won't print. Utilities shows all cartridges full, but only black and pale green-blue print. While it was printing color it was drinking the ink, but that's another story.
