SOURCE: Samsung 214t syncmaster flickering

Hello,

It sounds like you have a monitor with a common problem. After a few years some LCD monitorswill blow a power supply. The problem is caused by parts calledcapacitors overheating in the confined space of the monitor. If you aregood at electronics repair/soldering you can usually fix the problem. Check out a few pictures on my web site www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm You can take the back cover off your monitor and look for the bad parts, replace any that look like the pictures and your monitor should workfine. We just posted a repair guide showing how to remove the case ansreplace the parts. The capacitors do need to be installed with thecorrect + and -connections, note the stripe on the old one and insert the new one thesame way. If you don't want to try the repair yourself we offer a repair service for $35 plus shipping.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.

SOURCE: SyncMaster 203B (Black) LCD Monitor: Monitor will not stay on (Samsung Syncmaster 203B)...

Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed SAMSUNG monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

SOURCE: Samsung SyncMaster 2233SW Monitor "Not

The "native" resolution of the monitor is the "optimal" resolution -- it looks best to use this resolution.

So, right-mouse click anywhere on your Windows desktop "wallpaper".
Click Properties.
Click Settings.
Move the "Screen Resolution" slider to the recommended settings.
Click Apply.
Click OK.

I have Samsung syncmaster 733NW monitor. Dull display comes and goes sudennly when power ON.Blue light is glowing continuous. how to rectify

The issue you're describing with your Samsung SyncMaster 733NW monitor could be caused by a few different things. Some possible causes include a problem with the monitor's backlight or inverter, a malfunctioning video cable, or a software issue.
Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Check the video cable: Make sure the video cable connecting the monitor to your computer is securely plugged in on both ends. If the cable is loose, the monitor's display may be affected.
  2. Check the power cable: Make sure the power cable is securely plugged into the monitor and the outlet. Try a different outlet or power cable to rule out any issues with the power supply.
  3. Check the monitor's settings: Make sure the monitor's brightness and contrast settings are set correctly. You may also try adjusting the resolution or refresh rate to see if that improves the display.
  4. Try a different monitor: If you have another monitor available, try connecting it to your computer to see if the problem is with the monitor or the computer.
  5. If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it may be a hardware issue. It could be a problem with the backlight or inverter, which would require repair by a professional. It could also be a problem with the monitor's main board.
If none of the above steps helps, it would be better to contact the manufacturer or a authorized service center to repair it.

Samsung SyncMaster 2333hd monitor shuts on and off repeatedly or turns off

I had a similar problem with my monitor, it turned out to be a loose connection inside the unit, there is a motherboard inside the monitor, it was between this and the LCD that a cable had come loose, some dismantling of the monitor but worth a try.

Mine shut down during my normal working day. Same thing, turn it off and on again - screen flashes up briefly then flicks off again.
Called Samsung and they are replacing it with a refurbished screen under warranty.

About text sharpness

The monitor shouldn't be changing the settings itself unless you changed it. Try changing the brightness and contrast. Otherwise, it might be a video card issue.
