Answered

Buzzing noise coming from the back of the TV

Got a trouble call and the tech replaced the sound board. This did not correct the problem. What do I do next. Its still under warranty.

No do not do anything take it in you still have warranty if you try to fix it you might mess up your warranty then you will have to pay cash

Ok, There are well three boards in this set that would influence such a behavior. The culprit is the Key Pad Board. It has what is called a leaky switch. This then locks up the Microprocessor. This will result in the set operating like a ghost has the remote.

SOURCE: Samsung P237HD tv/monitor,unit buzzing when on.

Had bad buzzing after connecting an old Proton monitor (1986) to cable box. Read some of the solutions here, readjusted the manual Balance -- presto. Sharing this in case it helps others. Thanks, all.

Most likely if a buzzing or similar sound that is there even with set off--you have a noise coming from a transformer in the standby power supply which is running all the time if the set is plugged in----

Someone would have to open set and listen for it---either a part, a board, or hot glue would have to be used to mute the vibration that is making the sound----one way we locate is with cover off probe with a plastic tool to see where it is.


If you are not able to do this have a tech or a shop "look" for it.

Tv making loud buzzing noise
A common cause are failure of decopling capacitors in the audio section, and or the circuit board power distribution that feeds the audio board. Most of the capacitors are surface mount components. The standard fix is to start by changing the circuit boards that have the defective parts.

If the set is under warranty, call for warranty service. Out of warranty service is expensive for these TV sets.

Likely a refurbished set= sound 99% of the time is coming from power supply board--a transformer etc making the sound.

Tv has a buzzing nouse
In almost all cases this is caused by a small transformer which is vibrating hard enough to cause the buzz.

The louder it is the easier to locate it.

Repair techniques vary from locating and dampening the sound with Hot Glue Gun to just replacing the entire board that it is on.

It is irritating but poses usually no safety issue.

Hint: usually in newer sets it comes from the power supply board.

The tv problems and causes are 100% is the tv colors wheel it is causes and the tv problems.The tv are having humming or loud buzzing noises sounds are the causes of the tv colors wheel going off and out control of it motor mount and spinning in at high RPM speed and different colors showing up or flahes of black and white color in the tv back ground.The tv colors wheel must have to be replace.Best hire a tv tech to do the replacement of the tv colors wheel,because have to take out many mechanicals parts before can even come to the tv colors wheel is self to replace it.

Loud sound would be coming from defective color wheel that is mounted i light engine, next to lamp housing. Replacement of color wheel is required expertise/ experience and professional will do that for you in correct and in safe manner.
Contact local tv repair shop to get color wheel replaced in tv.

It ur Vizio tv,The power supply board is the problems.The transformers in the power supply board have gaps in the transformers.The high voltage curents flow that make that buzzing noise.

Toshiba 36zp18q buzzing noise.
Humming sounds come from the power supply and buzzing sounds come from other circuitry. Most likely a capacitor somewhere.
