You sure the graphics are being produced by the TV? If you are using a cable box, it may be coming from there. The other pssibility is a stuck button on the front panel. That can cause displays to come up without warning and won't go away until you get the button unstuck. Try wiggling all the front panel buttons.

I have a manual, but cannot remove unwanted channels on my DP19649. How do I do this????

As far as I understand, some TV's don't have the skip channel feature. If your TV has the 'Skip Channel' feature, you first select channels that have no signal (either a blue screen or snowy screen) then press the up -down arrows to select the 'Skip' and Ok button on your Remote. The Manual should explain how it is done.

Why does a black box keep appearing on my screen?

The box is probably because you have closed-captioning turned on and set to "text" mode. Check the TV remote control for a button marked "CC" or "CAPTION" or something similar. Press the button to cycle through captioning options until you get to "OFF". This should clear up the trouble.

What's happening is that in text mode, the TV blanks out the area on the screen where the text should go, but there's nothing to display. Text mode isn't widely used, but in some markets it's used to display weather or other information. What sometimes happens is that the caption button on the remote gets pressed and you don't know the TV is set to text mode until the box starts coming up. And it doesn't happen on every channel, or even all the time on the same channel, so it can seem very random.

Thanks for using Fixya!

Black box fills most of screen on certain channels

THE cc key on your remote control might of been pressed by accident and the close caption was enabled, to correct this all you need to do is press the cc key repeatedly untill the c.c. is turned off, the tv display will go through cc1, cc2, txt1 etc. untill you get to the part that says cc off.

The volume of sony wega kv-sw29m61 set always to maximum when it turned on

On your remote control (with tv off)
1. press Display, channel 5, Volume Up and then Power
this brings up the service mode (you will see some green text on your screen)
2. Press channel 2 to scroll through options until you see "Micro" in the upper left of your screen
(channel 2 cycles up through the options, channel 5 cycles down)
3. Press channel 1 to scroll through suboptions until you see "DIOF" appear under "Micro"
(channel 1 cycles up through the suboptions, channel 4 cycles down)
4. Press channel six until the default value (12:60) changes to 12:40
(channel 3 increases the value, channel 6 decreases the value)
5. Once the value has been changed to 12:40, press Muting and you should see red text in the upper right hand corner that says "Write"
6. Simply turn the power off and back on for the change to take effect. Your volume problems should now be fixed.

ON CHANNEL 47 THERE IS A BLACK SCREEN WITH DATE, TIME AND LID://T

Check the closed-caption settings on the TV. It's probably set for "text" now and should be "off". In text mode the screen is blanked out to make room for the text display, but there isn't any. On many channels or programs you'll never see anything, but it sounds like your channel 47 is actually presenting something.

Turn tv on, and it scrolls through the channels

Had the same problem, channels would not stop scrolling.
It was as though someone had there finger on the channel up button.
Disconnected the sixth wire, starting with the black wire on the wiring harness for the front buttons, on/off, ch. up/down, vol. up/down, etc.
It works fine, no more unwanted channel surfing!!

Video will not turn off; "I2C-BUS STOP MODE" error at power up

Nope a very easy problem .. What it is is the relay is stuck on or closed so when you plug in the set the power comes up But the micro hasent told the rest of the set to work yet. So when you hit the power button. its just like you hit the power and it activated the relay and the rest of the set. Now in some rare occasions the driver transistor for the relay was shorted But most of the time its the contacts that weild shut, but you cant just clean them as it will work for a while, but in a month or so you will be in the smame boat. But if you not a tech this repair shouldnt cost you to much because if your not an experienced tech you can not only cause harn to the set but also you yourself BE CAREFULL and take the set to a pro!!!! Good Luck
