For CR2016, press and hold the SET lever for atleast 10 - 20 secs. Push the mode button until the hours value blinks. Use the 'ALARM ON' lever to adjust the time. Use the mode button to move from hours to minutes and repeat the same steps. Push the SET lever to set the time once all the required fields are adjusted.

Press MODE (lower left) button until "ALARM" appears in the display. Then press SET (lower right) button. T1 should flash to indicate you are setting an alarm for Time 1. Press MODE to cycle through the alarm settings. Press ALARM (upper right) button to advance the hours, tens and minutes to the desired time. When the far right of the display is alternately flashing "T1" and then "AL" you can change the chime and alarm tones by pressing the ALARM (upper right) button. The alarm is on if the middle symbol (lines) on the left of the display is shown. The hourly chime is on if the lower symbol (bell) on the left of the display is shown. When you are done, hit MODE (lower left) again to return to normal time display.

I had the same problem, and could not find any answers on timex.com. After you place the battery in and it begins to beep, push all four buttons in at the same time. This should "reset" the watch -- at least it did for me.

Here is the link for all Timex watches and the appropriate manuals.
This should provide you with the information you require, if you have an issue not covered there I will try to find you more specific information.
Hi,
Timex has two ways to find information about your particular watch. If you don't have the manual, Try this link:
Complete Timex link site:
http://www.timex.com/info/Product_Instruction_Guides_Downloads
Now, look up the model number, or if you cannot find that, check the three-digit Module Number from the back of the watch. Click on it in the Module Table, and download a PDF of your watch setting-instructions/manual.
I hope this helps you. Thanks, Bill
