We have a new (Sept 2012) Samsung UN55ES7100 (55") Smart TV. It is turning itself on/off and the wifi connection in network settigns does not work. It will not allow for setup either. It no longer connects to the internet to update the firmware or to use Smart TV . I am so disappointed after reading of the recall and lawsuit for the exact issues in earlier models. I have called Samsung support 3x but they are clueless. They will dispatch a technician but what happens when we are out of warranty? Is the capacitor issue affecting the network settings/wifi?
I have the same issue. I read and watched online tutorials about the compositors but after opening the set up I was unable to find any that had gone bad. I was able to upgrade the software by using a USB thumb drive but the issues are still there. I'm thinking of swapping out the motherboard and/or the power board next to see what the fix is.
