My Spacemake XL1800 doesnt heat the food. Was working fine .Now not heating at all.
Is this an over the stove type unit? I have had a few problems with my over the range spacesaver. I think the heat from cooking gets up into the microwave and damages it. The steam from me boiling things on the stove had mine quit heating and I purchased a new one. The parts to replace the faulty ones can be quite expensive over $150.00, so its better to purchase a new microwave.

GE Will replace the magnetron for 9 years! Mine is a 2004 model with a one year warrently according to manual. HOWEVER they did say the magnatron was covered for nine years: call 888-239-6832. When I called they said thats all they get calls for and would send out in 3-5 days. NO CHARGE. I had to ask if there was coverage longer than a year on major parts and that's when they offered the info and I eventually was transferred to the right office. Saved $120 bucks on parts alone.

This is a microwave, correct?
I suspect the door lock interface switch(es) are burned out. Unplug it, be mindful of the 25,000 volts in the silver thing. Check the micro switches (look where the door closes on the top right side, probably) two positions, normally open or normally closed. check them for proper operation.
Micro switches are the most common of microwave failures because most of us open the door while the machine is running causing arc at the switch and burning up the little contacts.
