Garage door opener remotes

I purchased a home with a Sears HBW1255 139.53681B I have two remotes but can only get one to program.. I tried pushing the buttoms together that didn't work either. I also bought a clicker compatible to the existing remotes and even with those only one will program.

How do I get two remotes to work for the opener?

I have a two car detached garage with one door and opener. I want to use three transmitters. One in each of two cars and one from the house. It seems that I can only program two transmitters max. If I program the third then one of the others stops working. Any suggestions?

You should be able to program more then three remotes to one opener. How are you trying to program them? Are you using the LEARN button on the back of the machine?

If you go into the actual unit (on the ceiling) you will see the "code" of the opener. You then program the inside of the remote(s) (take them apart) to match what the actual opener is. Or you can look at the one that works and make the other(s) match that. It is a series of little toggles.

I really need your help. My Craftsman unit model number is 139.53615SR manufactured 1/92. I have a three car garage. The original two remote controls were lost and since then I've used the setting in my...

Have your neighbor bring over his remote and open or close your door with it. Then hold the smart/learn button in for 6 seconds on your opener. Then see if he can open your door. He shouldn't be able to because that procedure erases the memory in your opener. No remotes should work. You need to get that remote #53778 back and program it and then see if your neighbor can open your door. If he can open your door at any point after you have held that button in for 6 seconds you need to get a new door opener.

Is there a univeral remote for craftsman garage door openers?

Depends on the age of the opener. The model number is on the end of the opener closest to the door. Using it go to Sears parts and you can find out if the remote is still available.

Only one remote programs

It is really important to that you have the correct remotes for your opener. The model number is on the end closest to the door and starts with 139.

Grage door blinking yellow, click and won't open with anything.

TRY RESETTING THE UNIT BY UNPLUGGING IT FOR ABOUT 5 MIN.

IF WHEN YOU PLUG IT IN THE REMOTES STILL DON'T WORK TRY TO REPROGRAM THEM.
IF STILL HAVING TROUBLE--
COUNT THE FLASHES - GOTO LIFTMASTER.COM DOWNLOAD A FREE PDF FOR A SIMILAR UNIT (THE MODEL NUMBERS ARE DIFFERENT BUT THE CODES ARE THE SAME).
