If you would like to erase everything from the 8310 and set everything back to factory defualts: First Remove your memory card, if you have one and then:
Click Options, Advanced Options, Security, General Settings, Wipe Handheld. It should prompt you to actually type in the word "blackberry" and then will erase everything from the phone and set everything back to factory defaults. You phone could just need a simple reset if the problem is based upon the software. From the Home Screen you go to Options-Security Options-General Settings and then you press the Blackberry button, to the left of the Trackball, and choose wipe handheld, when the process is complete your phone will be reset to factory conditions.
