Playstation 3 CECHM03 80Gigabyte model will not load discs when inserted into disc drive. My PS3 has worked for almost 3years now and was working fine on wednesday afternoon and then PS4 got launched and the next day on thursday, My PS3 would not load discs or show any disc icon at all on my console..Please help me.

Hi my name is Juan and the problem you got is with the bluray laser lens they have stopped reading games you can check this out put a cd on your ps3
and at the same time place your ear on top cover and will heard 3 clicking noises of the laser but make no noise because this clicking
noise is so fine that you need to make no noise i goes click click click
you will hear it but make sure you put your ear on top cover at the
same time you insert the disk it takes about 3 -4 seconds for the clinking noise after you have insert the cd
some lasers they do try to read and they make the disk to spin off and
on some they do make the disk to spin normally but nothing happen and
the solution is to replace the laser lens I am a ebay trusted power seller and I can get you one if you want to

You've done everything I would have done honestly. Take a can of air and blow it into the drive to make sure dirt or dust isn't on the laser which could affect if it sees discs or not.
The better thing to try if you are good at opening up your ps3 and then removing your drive and opening that is to take a damp q-tip with a bit of glass cleaner and clean your laser in the drive gently. Then put the drive back together and hook the cables back up to the ps3. You can leave the cover to the ps3 off for this step. Turn on the ps3 and try different blu-ray, dvd's, music cd's, game discs, etc. If it still doesn't read any of them then either the laser or the drive i bad. If it reads some discs and not others then its a weak laser and the laser would need to be replaced.
If you have to replace the laser or the drive, you can do a search on Ebay and usually find them fairly cheap.

Sadly there currently is no fix for this problem. I've also had this same problem and contacted Sony about it.

If your warrenty has expired it will cost around $180.

Unfortunately there is no easy repair for that, it needs to be repaired by Sony, give them a call at 1-800-345-7669, it may be under warranty still.
