Whirlpool Electric dryer type-DWJR-ELE-2406028-FM54. model LER7646JQO the heating element get very hot. the dryer does not turn on. the drum does not turn either.

If the heating element is getting very hot that means there is no air flow across it. If the drum doesn't turn then the blower is not turning causing the element to get very hot. Could be drum belt, drum rollers, or motor.

Where do you find a heating element for a Kenmore Model #110.66662500. Serial: MT0203728 Type: DWJR-ELE-2406028-FM54

Grainger.com is easy or you can look thru the yellow pages for a local appliance repair store, for parts.

It appears the heating element went out on our older Kenmore dryer - Type DWJR ELE 2406028 FM54. mod 110.62622101. Is this an easy fix?

Yes it is fairly easy to replace from the back. First verify it is the element and not the thermal fuse or a loss of one leg of the 240VAC circuit.

Dryer runs no heat

Sounds to me you either blew the fuse or tripped the circuit for the heating element. Try replacing the fuse or resetting the breaker before trying any repairs.

Dryer don't blow hot air, everything else runs ok.

you need to check the heating element and the thermal fuse to see if they are blown.
