Anthony - would like to bend your ear with problems on our LX18. The unit fills and goes thru the cycles but it doesn't appear that water is going thru the spray arms, some water is constantly draining. Water also will not recirculate thru the upper arm, this can be observed by looking at the clear tube, water will go to the drain line as soon as water starts filling the tube. looking for ways to troubleshoot the problem do I need a new relay board?

Hi, the dishes on the top rack of our Whirlpool Quietmaster III do not dry completely, but the bottom dishes are fine. We have to re-wash the upper rack dishes; they have spots on them. Ron.

Sounds like your not using a rinse aid. Fill the dispenser with jet dry. Not only it keeps dishes spot free but it help to dry them as well.

I have a maytag quiet series 300, dishes dont get clean on top rack and sometimes it doesnt drain. do i need to clean some trap or drain?

Check the screen area around the sump right below the lower spray arm if it is built up with lime deposit then the wash pump is starving for water and cannot pump water to the upper spray arm this would also starve water to the drain pump.

Not dispensing detergent properly---not getting top rack clean-------could this be a problem with the kitchen drain? I clean the filters often. I have Model SHU43C Thanks for the help, Barbara...

Hello Barbra. Not likely a drain problem because the machine is evacuating of the water from the sump. The bottom rack i assume is ok.
So the top rack in not doing it's job.
1.......clean out all of the timy holes in the spray arm.
2.......make sure there is nothing stppind the top arm from turning
give it a flick to see if it spins around freely
3..... tall object in the bottom can stop the arm from turning.
4.......some bosch machines have a divertor valve to alternate the water from the top to bottom racks. The valve. if faulty can be stuck in the bottom position not allowing the top arm to turn. Yopu can check this by turnint both arms to line up with easch other, say both arm ends pointing to you . then close the door and start the machine. after a short while of hearing the water swishing, open the door and see if the arms ahve moved. if both arms are turning then you know the divertor valve is ok. Even if your model does not ahve a divertor valve this is a good way of testing the spray arm operation.
Always use good quality soap and avoid tablets. use powder and make sure you have rinse aid in the dispenser.

The top two water water arms do not spin

These spray arm will only get water several times in the wash and rinse cycle. They do not turn at the same time the lower (bottom large spray arm under the bottom rack).
There is a chamber that diverts water either to the bottom sprayer or to the top sprayers, not to both at the same time.
If your top spray arms never get water, then there must be an issue with that chamber motor to divert the water. A new sump assembly that has all the new parts.
Good luck.

Leaks water around bottom drawers

If during the fill or rinse cycle, make sure all nozzles are in and pointing up, and make sure rinse arm end caps are in & secure

Top Arm does not spin so glasses are not cleaned and detergent is not rinsed out of holder very well.

Make sure the water level is just at or below the heating element. Low water level will cause the pump to "run out of water" before all wash arms and connecting tubing are filled. A pulsing sound during the wash cycle will verify. Low water pressure or a bad water inlet valve are one cause. Water siphoning ou the drain line is another. Look under your sink and verify the drain line goes from the garbage disposal or sink tailpiece all the way up to the bottom side of the coutertop enroute to the dishwasher.

The dishwasher fills up with water but will not spray water.

This is a comen problem here is how to solve it and prvent it in the future.
First you need to remove the wash arms top and bottom then look and you will see a few ole in the arms both sides these are more than likely blocked with small bits of food clean the hpoles and rinse the arms make sure all the holes are open and replace the arms.If this is the case in future scrape the plates off in the bin and rinse any loose food off in the sink before washing the dishes in the washer, give this a try and let me know how it went.

I have a hobart dishmachine model# CRS-103

THERE SHOULD BE SOME HOOKS AT THE TOP OF THE MACH INSIDE AT BOTH ENDS AND SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE TO SEPERATE THE WASH TANKS AND THE RINSES TANKS, ALSO AT THE ENDS SO THE WATER DOESNT SHOOT OUT ONTO THE FLOOR,THE SPRAYERS COULD EITHER BE THE WASH ARMS OR THE RINSES JETS IF ITS THE ARMS THEY GO IN THE TOP AND THE BOTTOM ONES GO JUST ABOVE THE WATER LINE OR SCRAP TRYS THE BOTH SHOULD LOCK IN SOMEHOW,I IF ITS THE RINSE JETS THE GO IN THE RINSE ARMS WITCH ARE AT THE EXIT END WHERE THE TRAYS COME OUT, THE JETS SHOULD THREAD INTO THE ARMS WICH HAVE PRE DRILELED HOLES FOR THEM.

Bottom rotating arm doesnt spray water but top arm does

i have a similar problem. water is not reaching the bottom spray arm. there. i have an underwater case for my digital camera, so i'm going to put a torch or 2 in some waterproof bags and remove the bottom spray arm and run the dishwasher to see if there's water coming out of the bottom pipe, if not, i need to try and see if there's a blockage in the system, or a dodgy valve, could be that the soldering's or the control panel's buggered.
