I cannot say for sure with that particular model, however I did have a radio that would do the same thing, and found that the wiring was shorting out at the terminal end causing the cw key to key itself multiple times. you might check that, or make sure that the wiring is correct for that particular radio.

Model 718. Why is CW mode kaput?

There are a few possible reasons why your radio might not be transmitting in CW mode. One possibility is that the keyer chip has gone bad. Another possibility is that there is a problem with the power supply. If you have a multimeter, you can check the voltages to see if they are within specification. Finally, it's also possible that there is something wrong with the antenna connection. Make sure that everything is securely connected and that there are no loose wires. I hope this helps!

My tx is blinking on my yaesu 950,radio

I have had this occur when either my keyer paddle or cw key is pressed as if sending. In other words you are in transmitting mode.

Connect cw to IC-735

The ic-735 has to have the keyer option to use with a paddle, if it doesn't you will have to use an external keyer with it

My Yamaha Virago runs great till the battery dies. I've replaced the battery a couple times, the bike just doesn't keep it charged. I've heard "replace the rectifier regulator" and did that 2 or 3 times....

Sounds like you need to monitor what's going on at the battery. Hook up a volt meter to see if it's charging. Check and clean all connections / plugs. Check connections at key switch. Look over all wiring for shorts or broken wire. Disconnect everything but motor wiring to narrow down the problem. Starter drains battery faster than it can recharge.........
A dead battery will mess up a charging system and a bad charging system will kill a battery.

My plug for the factory radio has been cut out of my 1996 cavelier i need the wire codes because i think the plug ran other stuff besides radio and im trying to install pioner cd player but i cant because...

Hook the 12v memory to a constant power, like the cigarette lighter, or parking lights(red I do believe) The yellow one is key powered, so hook that to something that only powers up with the key on. The black one is a ground, that should be obvious. As far as speaker leads, you can take the door panels off and see what wires are connected to the back of the factory speakers. Hope this helps.

External jack

sounds like you got a good radio to practice on . If it was given to you then you have nothing to loose except what ever you put into it. try hooking the speaker jack back up, see what it does??

Want to disconnect the bleep altogether on my cobra 148 gtldx

If this is a stock cobra 148 gtl 40 channel am plus side band, they don't to my knowledge come with a built in r beep. Some roger beeps are instaleed through the transmit circuit on the mic, so if not in the know Don't try to fix it.Some microphones have a beep built in. I used to install beeps on these radios using the pa/cb switch to turn them on. also try the nb switch or the swr/rf switch.
