Asus k52f laptop hdmi port no sound

I've tried multiple cables...I know the cable is good and the TV input I'm using is good. I've seen suggestions to use the 'realtek' audio driver - I don't have that on my model, only the Conexant (I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium). Any ideas?

SOURCE: asus f5r audio

Hi there.

You should be able to download and install your drivers from the Asus website here:
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

Product: Notebook
Series: F5 Series
Model: F5R

Then a pop-up window will appear asking for your Operating System, just select WinXP.

4th on the list are the audio downloads. If you click on the + sign, you'll see that there are 3 downloads. Download and install each one in turn.

Hope that helps.

Tim

SOURCE: I just bought ASUS K61IC-x3, where is preloaded

Windows 7 x32 recovery disk is used when you have to recover the Windows 7 x32 from a disaster. It works very well but when you want to install or setup Windows 7 x32you have to buy a new Windows 7 x32. Once it is setup and you use your system and you find that the Windows 7 x32 is making some serious problems then you use Window 7 x32 recovery disk. These disks are not the same.

Hope I answered the question.

Good Luck!

SOURCE: i have an asus u52f

Hello,

Get an hdmi cable and connect it between the laptop and the tv. Then, change input, or source on the tv until you see the laptop on the tv. The laptop should automatically recognize the tv and connect. That's about it. Let me know if you have any difficulties.

Regards,

Joe

Denon AVR-888 does not pass HDMI signal from Asus ux431f laptop to the Vizio tv.

If your Denon AVR-888 is not passing HDMI signal from your Asus UX431F laptop to your Vizio TV, but is passing signal from your Apple TV, there may be a compatibility issue between the laptop and the receiver or between the receiver and the TV. Here are a few things you can try:
  1. Check HDMI cables: Make sure all HDMI cables are properly connected and working. Try using different HDMI cables to see if that resolves the issue.
  2. Update firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for the receiver and the laptop. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues.
  3. Check laptop settings: Make sure the laptop is set to output video through its HDMI port. On some laptops, you may need to manually select the HDMI output in the display settings.
  4. Try a different input: If your receiver has multiple HDMI inputs, try plugging your laptop into a different input to see if that resolves the issue.
  5. Contact the manufacturer: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, contact the manufacturer of the laptop, receiver, or TV for further assistance.
It's also worth noting that some older HDMI receivers may not be compatible with newer HDMI devices. If your receiver is several years old, it may not be able to pass the HDMI signal from your laptop. In that case, you may need to upgrade to a newer receiver that supports HDMI 2.0 or higher.

Why did I lose the video signal from the receiver to the TV?

I assume you have tried both hdmi cables from box to tv. If both works good.Cconnect to amp. Connect cable box also on other hdmi inputs like bd, dvd, etc to make sure the spesific port is not faulty. If still no picture try to lower hdmi video display on cable box. You amp may not be able to display the higher resolution.

Can a tv working normally after been stuck by lighting

In most cases no, depends on level of surge. I've seen cases where a surge came in through an HDMI cable and take out the HDMI port on a TV, everything else worked. I've seen cases where a surge damaged multiple boards on a set. So again it depends how how big of a surge, and whether the surge comes in through the power cable or an video/audio input.

Most of the time it will involve replacing the entire board that connects to the HDMI and outputs associated with it--not a cheap fix and good luck finding any board for this brand set.

I need to know how to hook up my PC to my TV.

I understand that you want to hook up your laptop to your TV. I believe your laptop has an HDMI port, then supposing that your TV is HDTV right? Well, if they are both HD capable nothing to worry about.

If you don't have an HDMI cable yet, I would advise to buy one. Once you have it, all you have to do is..

1. Plug the Other end of your HDMI cable to your laptop HDMI port.

2. Then the other end of the HDMI cable plug it to the HDMI port of your TV.

3. From your TV remote control, press Input/source, then there will be a drop down menu option, select "HDMI" once you select it you are good to go.

I hope you find it very helpful. Thank you for using fixya.

I plugged in my PS3 using an HDMI cable and i get no feedback

If you just bought the PS3 use your composite cables that came with the system. Turn the PS3 on and go to the video settings, set up video input to HDMI. After you've done that plug your HDMI back into your PS3 and try turning it on. If that works go back to video settings and change the resolution to 1080p. If that doesn't work make sure your T.V. is on the same input that the HDMI cable is plugged in. If it is and still doesn't work try switching to a different HDMI port. If switching to a different HDMI port doesn't work try a new HDMI cable. If the new HDMI cable doesn't work then there is a problem with the port on the PS3 which would require a repair.
