Are you sure the correct printer is selected in Excel? I would compare Excel print settings with Word settings, since Word is printing docs.

When I print an excel page showing gridlines the lines are not straight but wavy and some of the numbers on the sheet are not visible

Cartridges are not alighned.
Remove one of the cartridges and insert it back.
The printer will print an alighment page. There are instructions on the page to place it on the scanner and to press the Scan button.
For alighment to be successful the printer has not to missing any ink.
Instead of removing and inserting a cartridge, you can use Maintenance tab in Printer preferencies to strat printhead alighment.

Can't print line

Depending on what version of Excel you are using try the following:
The lines are called gridlines
  1. Click the worksheet.

  2. On the File menu, click Page Setup, and then click the Sheet tab.

  3. Select the Gridlines check box.
Note Large worksheets print faster if you do not select the Gridlines check box.

Please rate this solution...Thanks
