Need to know "HOW TO" set up RCR312W

I have a Toshiba 20" TV and lost the remote, bought an RCA Universial Remote Control...RCR312W R55N7 2827P... and then let my sister use the TV and when I got it back from her the remote came back without the battery's in it and it wasn't set up on the TV anymore...it worked fine when she borrowed the TV and remote...I set it up according to the instructions in the carton that it came in from Wal Mart...since then I have lost the directions or misplaced them and I need to KNOW HOW TO set it up again! Need Programming assistance please, I lost new remote manual in home move The remote model is RCR3273 . Help! Thanks

You have to hold the component button (TV) and enter the code from http://www.rca.com/codefinder. The SKU it asks for, on my RCR312W, was under the lid from the batteries. Hope it helps.

I have an RCA universial remote control and lost the paper that gives me the codes, i need to reprogram my remote, my TV is an Toshiba "big screen".
Visit this link. On the bottom right side of the page, it is written in red: "Find your remote codes here!", click on this and a new window will open.

A RCA remote with no codes
Unfortunately there isn't much you can do to 'add' codes. You can try doing the 'code search' function, but this is basically the problem with buying cheap electronics. If the 'code search' function (look in your manual for how to start it) doesn't work, sorry, but you're out of luck.

I NEED PROGRAM CODES AND PROCEDURES FOR RCR312W
I can help. I too have an RCR312W remote and it did not work.
I found this code on bobvila.com message board. The code from the RCR311W remote works.


1) turn on unit

2) press and hold componet button on remote (TV, VCR, etc)
until On/Off lights up

3) press and hold On/Off while holding component button. Light will go out. Continue hoding both buttons until light comes back on.

4) release both buttons. On/Off should stay on.

5) Press On/Off repeatedly until unit turns off.

6) Press the Stop key at bottom.

7) light goes off. Remote is programmed!
