Epson artisan 810 prints vertical black lines on all documents

this problem is usually fixed easily. this commonly occurs when print head is clogged. I use a facial tissue and alcohol to clean the head with the ink cartridge in an upside down position (if possible) then i print one or two test prints to get it back to normal.

Epson Artisan 800 won't print with ink in the cartridges.

Have you run the head cleaner function under the maintenance section? You may have to run it several times. Then make sure that you print something that uses the colors every week.

I don't know how to disable "keep printed documents". I have an Artisan 800 series printer.

Hi Michelle,

Follow the steps below and you will be able to fix the issue.

Click on START button
Click on Control Panel ( or Settings for windows XP )
Click and open Printers and Faxes ( or Printer folder icon )
Highlight the Printer icon and Right click on it
Left Click on Printer properties
Click on Advanced TAB on top and look for "Keep Printed Documents"
If there is a Check mark, you can Uncheck it.
If there is no check mark on it, Check mark it.
Click Apply/OK and Close the window and try to print.

If this does not resolve the issue, Try the step below

1. Open Printers and Faxes.

2. Right mouse click on the Epson printer and left click Properties.

3. Click on the Advanced tab.

4. Click the Print Processor button.

5. Under Print Processor, select WinPrint.

6. Under Default Datatype, make sure RAW is selected. Click OK.

7. Back on the Advanced tab remove the check next to Keep Printed
Documents.

8. Click Apply and OK.

My Epson Artisan 810 prints horizonal light blue lines on all printed materials. How to remove the blue lines?

To resolve this issue, you need to print a nozzle check pattern and then determine if print head cleanning is need.
To print nozzle check, follow the steps below.

Turn off the Artisan Series and your computer, if connected.
Disconnect any connected USB cables.
Load plain paper in the main tray.
Press the On button to turn the Artisan 800 Series on again.
Press Setup.
Select Maintenance.
Select Nozzle Check.
Press Start.
The Artisan Series begins printing the nozzle check pattern.
If there are no gaps, select Finish Nozzle Check.
If there are gaps, select Head Cleaning.

If the nozzle check pattern page prints correctly, the problem may be with your software settings, the interface cable, or your computer.

Try the following to resolve this issue.

1. Check if same issue appears when using your Artisan 800 as a standalone copy machine.

2. Try printing from a different application to isolate the issue further. You can also print a windows test page to check if this issue is caused by the application that you are printing from or by the printer driver.

3. Reinstall Printer Driver.

I installed remanufactured ink cartridges (cheaper) but artisan 800 now shows that I did not install epson cartridges and it will not print anything, just keeps telling me I did not install their epson...

Epson are very intrusive with there messages. They do this because there main source of income is through the sales of cartridges at ridiculous prices!!! Even though the message appears on most models if you press the OK button at the bottom of the message, not the red cross at the top, it should continue to print. I have not had experience with your particular model yet but I have not had one Epson that would not print with compatibles installed? If it goes through the motions of printing and nothing comes out it is a sign of a dud cartridge.

My Artisan 800 was doing this and I realized it was because I was using three hole punched paper. I think the printer sees the top hole and thinks the paper has run out and cancels the rest of the page. Big engineering goof Epson.

Hi you should clean the print head and you need to take out the cartridge and pay close attention as you put it back into the printer because it may not be fitted in place properly.

please make show that ur connection to the printer is correct.mostly if u using usb cable.uninstall and reinstall ur printer drivers can solve the problem.

My printer has problems printing dark colours. When printing pictures or text, it leaves horizontal lines on black only. I have a continuis ink system which has lots of black. Any ideas?

Try changing the print paper type to something other than plain paper. Use the matte paper setting, or the photo glossy. The printer will lay down more ink at these specialty settings.

OK so i tricked my 810 into printing on a transparency. NOT that I recommend doing this ... but .... I took four pieces of clear tape and taped the top (where it goes into the printer) and on each side about three inches from the top.

Then I put it in the tray with the transparency on the bottom of the paper -- since it brings it up thru the printer and flips it over, it prints right onto the transparency !!!

It didn't like it the first time, since I just folded over the tape on the end that gets sucked into the printer first. Hence the added stabilizers on each side.

Each transparency paper should come glue to a piece of regular paper "same size" this allows the printer to recognize that there is paper ready to print. Make sure you put the transparency facing the correct way in the tray though. Once the printing is done, just remove the glued paper from the transparency and should be done.

Great Idea. I used double stick re-positionable craft tape. Worked like a charm. I also set the printer setting at ultra glossy, beautiful. Did this on my artisan 800, am sure it will work on the 730 also. Many thanks.

Regarding printing clear decals on the Epson Artisan 730/800: Thanks Marco, great idea. I used double-stick re-positional tape and it worked beautifully.
