Here are Genkihouse Sling instructions - I tried to attach scanned copies of the instructions, however it exceeded the file size limit:
For front use
Hold your baby close to your chest
Still holding baby close to your chest, grab sling and place over baby - Genkihouse logo facing away from you, arrange baby's legs through leg openings. Alternatively, you can lay the sling on a change table with logo facing down, lie baby on top and put legs through leg holes then lift the baby and the sling onto your chest.
Still holding baby close to you, place sling straps over your shoulders.
Reach behind with one arm (still holding baby with the other) and firmly take the strap from behind opposite shoulder. Your other arm still holds the baby and sling.
Thread the strap through D ring with one hand whilst your other hand still holds the baby.
Simply 'hook' the strap through the D ring with your index finger.
Do not change hands at this stage.
Tension strap backwards - away from your back and don't let go.
Feel the baby's weight now firmly supported by the sling at your waistline.
As you continue to hold the same strap reach behind with the other hand and thread the second strap through its D-ring. The straps should criss cross over your back.
Bring straps together, adjust tension to suit and tie a secure knot in the middle of your back.
Check the position of the baby - you should be able to kiss his/her head.
Baby can also face outwards when he/she gets older.
These are easy. Just make sure the middle pull strap/handle is up like a volcano in the middle of the bottom of the crib in order to RAISE or LOWER the sides. It's a saftey feature. Nothing goes up or down if the bottom is flat.
Use the size adjustment buckle to produce a
comfortable fit for you and your baby. (The Baby Bjorn Active Baby
Carrier is adjustable both for the baby and the parent). Make sure you
are using BOTH adjustments, rather than merely adjusting for one or the
other of you. Think of it as putting on (and tying) two separate shoes.
Both should be nice and snug. Every review that i have said says these are never as comfortable as a wrap, but seem to be more convenient.
Step 3
jQuery(document).ready(function(){
jQuery('#jsArticleStep3 span.image a:first').attr('href','http://i.ehow.com/images/a04/ur/dd/use-bjorn-active-baby-carrier-1.3-800X800.jpg');
});
Unbuckle one or both of the side straps when taking the baby in and out of the baby carrier. This makes the job much quicker and smoother and everyone will be much more content.
I don't have video instructions, but I might be able to explain it.
Find the straps that go on your shoulders. I know the right one has a warning label on it - they might both have it. The labels should be against your body, and the square where they meet should be on your front or back depending on where you want the baby.
Fasten the waist strap (has an odd oval shaped buckle) and the strap higher up between your shouders. If this second strap is too tight, you have to lengthen the shoulder straps.
Next, find the velcro bits that have buckles near them. These need to fasten above your baby's legs. do up the velcro then the buckles. Finally, the buckles over your baby's shoulders need to be attached to the little knobs on your shoulder straps. Squeeze them, fit them over the knobs and release.
If you're on your own, you might want to put the baby in first and then fasten it to yourself, I just find it easier to put it on myself first.
You need to put the straps throught the bottom, then the top openings you put it through the 2nd **** or where the baby will be comfortable. Then you tie it on the back.
There is a recall on this model. The company will send you a new holding device for the back straps that has screws instead. See the babybjorn.com website for more info.
