Canon Power Shot A400. Doen't show image on screen

Does it shows for all the Card?.. Swap the card and try. Else format the card in Windows PC and give a try

Was the camera dropped or hit hard? I had to replace the display screen on my Canon Power Shot A95 because I had dropped it. I purchased a new LCD screen from a company on eBay. It was relatively inexpensive but you do need some experience with small screws and connectors to do it your self. One last thought, try new batteries. I am sure you have but I forget the obvious sometimes.

My PowerShot A400 now only runs on 2x Energizer 'Ultimate Lithium'
batteries at $12 a pair... and last no longer than three weeks or about 50 images.

Won't be buying one of these again. I love the camera - but changing the batteries every few days is just way too expensive. Poor design.

If your Canon A60 camera shows previously saved pictures in memory card in playback mode but does not show live view in camera mode than ccd imager chip in camera got defective and will be replaced.
Canon offers free of cost ccd imager chip replacement. Click Canon CCD Imager Advisory to avail that FOC service.

Love the A400, it's one of my all-time favorite Canon P&S cameras. But sorry to say your camera will not understand SDHC cards. This format came out well after the A400 was designed. The max memory the A400 can use is a 2GB standard SD card, no higher. Fortunately, these are very inexpensive these days, and run about $6 with shipping:

Just download the free image software 'irfanview' . this small software got tremendous power of batch-processing. U can easily stamp date on each shot with it. Just go through its 'help' menu

Having using standard LR6 batteries in a Canon before you will only get 3 or 4 pics max before it drains the batteries. You really need high power AA's like 2300mAH+ rechargeables for any good performance or Lithium AA's
