EMachine computer fans run but no monitor picture

Turned on emachine computer this morning and the fans kept running with no signal to the monitor. Hooked laptop up to montotor and picture was fine. Cable and monitor are fine, eMachine fans keep running and it sounds like to processor isnt booting up the computer

    the image on my monitor was shaky, so I rebooted the machine. Now it is just showing a big E on the screen, and two messages: boot menu , and below this BIOS settings <2>


    I have tried pushing both, but nothing is happening

    same thing i hooked up my other desktop to the monitor and it wrks fine the problem is somewhere in the tower. any ideas?

Your machine may support more than one monitor and have more than one monitor port. Change the cable connecting the computer and monitor to a different monitor port as the computer may not yet be configured for the port you have plugged the monitor in to.

Emachines won't send signal to screen, when turned on it makes one long continuous beep
The beep signifies an error. But different bioses have different beeps. You can check with the emachine site to tell you what 1 beep on the machine signifies and you can be guided accordingly. Could be bad power supply, connection, peripheral, etc

Emachine ET1850 model when turn on no display picture.
Check ALL monitor cables, reseat connections. Have you done any hardware or software updates? Graphics Updates? Do you get anything at boot? Just no signal? It sound like a hardware issue, Graphics. Support for your machine can be found here: http://support.gateway.com/us/en/emac/product/default.aspx?modelId=2064 You could buy a PCI e x16 Graphic Card . Better ,faster Graphics. First, check VGA connections, reseat, check for bent pins. Try another cable and monitor, to verify.

Monitor blue light comes on shows emachines logo and color bars then monitor turns off and light turns yellow
your monitor is beleiving it is not receiving any signal from your pc. 1 make sure your cables are secure. 2 make sure your pc is on. 3 borrow a monitor from a freind to see if your pc is sending the signal out, if the borrowewed monitor is showing a picture, hook yours back up. 4 if still not picture your mpcb or video pcb in the monitor is bad.

Problem with my emachine T6420
This problem comes due to problem with RAM and CMOS.

first you get RAM outside the CPU and clean properly by brush,and put into the RAM SLOT.

it work.
otherwise ,you have to change RAM.

Powering up problems.
Try using another monitor that you know works. Then try another video card. The fans are running because the computer is running ---but the monitor is not. Green to Amber means monitor is not on.
A lot can go wrong with loose wires that shouldn't be loose.
But I would try this first.
